That's Shaolin Temple btw, particularly Mount Song Town. That monster isn't the only one there that drops skills, it's just the only screenshot I have of one dropping. I used to have a link to a chinese website with drop tables, I'll see if I can find it.

The other thing about this is that Shaolin Temple was the first exclusive area created AFTER 4th job was released in that version. Just like Crimsonwood for us. The reason mobs in existing Zipangu areas don't drop skill books could very well be that they were created before 4th, and JMS didn't want to alter the drop tables.

Anyway, I feel confident that skill books will drop in Neo Tokyo. It's being touted as a high level area, and you can't very well have a high level area without skill books.

Well, I think I can explain that.

JMS's Shaolin temple was nerfed, right? All the monsters are lower leveled than their original forms in CMS. When it came time to add monster Book cards for shaolin temple monsters, they just copied the monster book data EXACTLY as it appeared in CMS without giving a second thought to the fact that they had nerfed them. Thus, the data appears inaccurate in JMS, but it is accurate for CMS.

I only fixed that sentence because everyone was using CGs as his ball buster. Imo, rare books is pretty much anything from HT and sharp eyes. Not expertise 20, lol.

It means that you wouldn't understand how much of a pain in the ass it is to get certain books. It doesn't take just money and patience it also takes a bit of connections. Any information is useless without firsthand experience.

Lol yeah, but my guilds are full of archers and DrKs so i hear a lot more about SE than i do about brandish. xD

The builds are all just for focus points. I haven't really seen a build that hasn't noted "we don't know rarity of skill books yet, so the build won't look like this". o.o

Easy for you to say because once again, We can't survive at all in there whereas a warrior can handle anything Pianus has to dish out 30 levels lower. I could easily take down Pianus if it weren't for all the bombs.

That doesn't solve the problem of Storybooks, however, because Sharks are the only monsters that drop the green storybook.

I can see how you want to go back to that HP topic again (and in the case of pianus, i agree) but the BMs in question are 14x, who can easily survive with HB. LOL.

Except HB isn't readily available every single second of the day. Level 14x BMs have like what: 3-4k HP? And to me that's an ideal situation, HP washing and all. Even with all of that, they can still easily die at Pianus if they're not careful, or if some ass comes in, kills a bomb, then KS' the Pianus. >_>
