Decisions by Nexon I will never understand.

Dark Link Wrote:Same thing can be said for LHC. What's the point of any level 110-165 spot when there's LHC?
Hate that place...I can stand Stronghold, but LHC always rubs me the wrong way every time I level a new character.

I dont really mind LHC, at least you can make a party of 6 and share the map without losing exp. At aliens its like, well I got dmg and I want to solo but its impossible when all the 12 year olds come and want you to share. I know crockies are fucked up, but I normally go to bearwolves because of that.

When they make a mob that is intentionally better exp than anything else in that level range, like Aliens, they should make a mini-dungeon for it.
The way they do it, with a normal map that's ks hell round the clock, makes it obvious that they are sadists who enjoy bringing out the worst in their players.

They really should make all scrolls acount tradable. i have hundreds of scrolls, i had to toss some because i kept running out of room. That and the fact that they are so many duplicate event scrolls. How many different 60% scrolls can they make Rolleyes

Also, the hyper teleport rock nerf was interesting, i still have a ton of mule characters stuck in the future. Used the rock to tele in when if first came put, and now i cant leave Tongue

I must teach you how to be more manipulative and evil towards the masses

oh, i would if i could *check: basil* but look at hime, and how she's forced to act, you'd end up the same way as a GM... or fired.

That's a little different, because she's more of the community PR. GM's have a little more flexibility imo. To be honest though, if I was paid to litterally idol chat a moron for 8 hour's, I could totally manage that anyway.

I'll never understand why they made Area bosses so weak.

At the moment, they are pretty much regular mobs that give a stupid amount of drops and give ambition.

Back in the day, it took a team effort to down a Bigfoot and very few people could actually solo or even survive it. When Black Crow spawned at Himes, it was considered a dead channel that no one could train on because it took a lot of time and resources to actually kill it. When Crimson Balrog spawned on the boat, everyone would just die to a lvl100 boss. Heck, going even further than that, the Iron Hog that spawned at Pig Beach took a stupid amount of effort and caused a huge annoyance.

I wish they beefed up area bosses nowadays...

And have some random monster kill me in one hit while I have to go somewhere? No thanks.

Easy-mode exploring ruins the game's progression. There's no sense of challenge, urgency, or decision making when nothing can kill you anywhere you go.

Or how about when a Jr. Yeti turned out to be a Jr. Yeti (transform) in the first map to the right of El Nath.

More on topic: What I don't get is why make Skill Books untradeable while the Mastery Book is tradeable. There are probably so many skill books that need to be SoK-ed to get to their rightful classes or have just been dropped and vanished purely because they can't be traded without SoK.

Off my mind:

-Not releasing Neo Tokyo awesomeness, instead turning it to Neo City crap...
-Turning cool stuff like Taipei 101 into lolgarbage like Kerning Square...
-Give the option to buy permanent versions of all CS clothes... and then take out the option
-Actually take out CS clothes from the shop, wat?
-Not making Adventurer Rings account-shareable like Lilin's Ring
-Never releasing a medal inventory, or let us equip our medals from the new medal UI
-Never releasing a quest inventory, for pq, event, npc quest, and whatnot items
-Expiring familiars, that was just low, and I don't see many people buying booster packs, now they're desperate trying to sell perm booster packs
-Never offering character transfers from account to account
-Not letting us sort our characters at character selection, or do it at the website, it would be cool
-Making transparent equips a CS transaction, even in small MMORPGs like Dragon Saga it's a free feature

This.

I remember it being exciting when you saw an area boss, now it's just "meh".

I don't understand what is the point of having different content for different versions, and the point of having exclusive content.

I'll touch on exclusive content first. When a feature is exclusive (eg. Jett), by business sense, it is to say that "Look, our version has it. the others don't. So come play here if you want to enjoy this feature.". However, Nexon enforces IP blocks which defeats the purpose of exclusivity (not everyone knows how to use proxies). It creates jealousy among players of the different regions which backfires onto Nexon.

I understand why different versions patch at a different pace (eg. Europe has so many languages to translate the game text to). But there seems to be no point to have different content. It promotes jealousy too, and makes no business sense either. For example, Nexon surely had to spend more time to change Neo Tokyo into Neo City, which translates to more money spent. Amoria and Peach Blossom Island difference is understandable due to cultural differences among the Chinese and the West. But then there seems no point to have different versions of the other features in the game. Also, having several areas in one version not available in the other (eg. Mount Song Town from CMS) doesn't make sense to me either. Why not let US players enjoy having a "vacation" in "China"? It saves time developing new content, and while the translators will be the only ones busy, the developers could sit down and have a game of mahjong with gold-plated tiles.

I don't understand why they continue to make us stronger(stronger and stronger new classes, nebulites, more potential lines in KMS), when nothing in the game requires that strength.
It literally takes little to no funding on a new job to be able to kill 99% of monsters in one hit.
Seems quite pointless.

They continue to do it because there are people who buy into it. The kind who put up those videos of soloing "endgame" bosses in seconds.
And when people will stop buying into it, Nexon will raise the damage cap, so we can start the big-numbers (damage) and little-numbers (kill time) race all over again.

案山子 Wrote:This is unfortunate, but they did it to make much more money.

Not only do they get more from people buying timed items in general, but they get more from people rushing to buy permanent equipment during events as they aren't normally available.

Funny because MSEA starts selling perma cs equips just after GMS stopped it.

Basically anything Nexon does with the world tour.
They never implement cool world tour stuff anymore, they just use kms's rip offs of other world tours (hopefully they won't replace kaede castle).

Also, sharing tags, why.

Conveniently, I merely renamed mine. At least if the update fails on that step it doesn't corrupt the files and require you to install fresh. You can put the file back and it will patch as it should.
