One month and ten days going off post dates on Max's blog. There was one update between the two: the Cross-Hunter/Dojo/Golden Temple update. So I imagine that it may be coming with that?

Hilla release = DB revamp + Emp fix + Aswan nerf.

I don't want Aswan to be nerfed 2 weeks after it releases lol.

Now all sairs including myself can rejoice.

For a short time, before we get nerfed again, we can enjoy our 330% DMG rapid fire. You would think a gun would be stronger than a bow/crossbow/throwing star but nope... not for long!

Hurricane skills hit 500hits per minute.
So in 1 minute;
250% x500 hits = 125,000%. For hurricane
330% x500 hits = 165,000%. For rapid fire

Advance final attack for BM has a 70% chance to activate doing 210% damage. So 70% of 500hits, is an average of 350hits of final attack.
So, 210% adv FA x350 hits = 73,500%.
Captain's dignity activates 100% of the time doing 70% damage. So 100% of 500hits, is 500 obviously.
So, 70% x 500 hits = 35,000%.

Then just add them together;
125,000(hurricane)+ 73,500(adv fa)= 195,500%.(adv FA has a 70% chance of activation, so #'s vary since can be less than 350hits or more than 350)
165,000(rapid fire)+ 35,000(captain's dignity) = 200,000%.
So rapid fire+ captain's dignity is better.

Then there's the stuff like pirate's revenge, bullseye, pirate style giving us %damage, stuff like spirit link giving %damage to BM, wep multipliers, attack buffs, etc, etc, and when all is said and done we do more damage.
Each job has their pros and cons though.
Sairs have better dpm, better mobbing, better mobility.
Archers have avoid skills, higher hp, useful party buff, and think damage reduction as well.

Sooner than I expected.

Corsairs don't get nerfed. If you're thinking that making Rapid Fire do 30% less damage and then making Captain's Dignity do 30% more damage for an overall change of 0% on single target while increasing damage for every non-Rapid Fire attack is a nerf...

Last I checked, having the higher damage made them stronger, but I guess 300% Rapid Fire isn't stronger than 260% Hurricane, 205% Ultimate Strafe, 293% Quadruple Throw, or whathaveyou.

They reduced Rapid Fire back in the first Luminous tespia patch.

Changed to 300% in a Tespia patch to nerf Phantom as the damage lost from it is just moved to Dignity.

They will probably bundle the Pirate Revamp with the Cross Hunter revamp. It will give more substance to that patch.

"That's the thing that makes me so mad. I'm so tired of being told to wait. I also can't say I really believe that Nexon is "free-to-play", its more like pay to win, and I did that. I paid to win and then I got pooped on by Nexon staff and Hime being all trollolololol and being like "just a little bit longer" and "wait" I understand that they had scheduled it for later, its more the fact that they didn't give us a date, they ignored us like usual, and they pushed other updates besides the one explorer class in maple that has NEVER had a revamp. It's just disheartening to me to feel like nexon is being discriminatory, specially when Hime mentioned "tweaking DBs" in the Azwan patch. To me that says DBs are getting a revamp before pirates are, which is another middle finger to us, but just my opinion"

Its too late actually. With the animations of Jett like Solar Array, Bombardier, Rapid fire and pineappleing Drone Blast, how can you pick a Corsair over Jett?

Buccaneers might hold a chance but then again their 4th job gameplay is screwed up by LAZORS.

Well, there's one factor to keep in mind: Pirates are forever, Jett is not.
