3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton

I feel retarded for only just now figuring out you can take screen shots of your game...

What? How? I've never heard of anyone doing this before o_o

I can't figure it out, either. Someone is telling me over Swapnote that you can go to the Game Notes application while playing a game and click the "copy screen" button and then press export to save it... but I can't figure out how. There's not a "copy screen" button anywhere for any of my games.

I thought only specific games enabled this? Pilotwings and Nintendogs? I own neither so i don't know.

The Rhythm Thief demo has been out for a little bit in North America, played it found it really fun and love the music.

Monster Hunter 4 looks good but some of the textures are rather off-putting a bit more so than Kid Icarus: Uprising's. Kind of looks worse in some areas than what I've seen of Monster Hunter 3G which is odd hope it improves though since they have time. Do like how MH4 looks more open than previous games in the series.

Ah, yeah, I saw that MH4 trailer the other day. Looks fucking sweet, way more action packed than Freedom Unite. Not keen on climbing monsters though; this isn't Shadow of the Colossus.

Famitsu has a few tidbits about Monster Hunter 4, like the game will have new weapons. However, the magazine didn’t reveal what these are. Felynes will also have a new use in Monster Hunter 4 which is also being kept under wraps. Players will be able to bring two Felynes with them. Confirmed details include a free camera and Monster Hunter 4 will have the most NPCs in the series.



The underwater areas from Monster Hunter Tri are gone in Monster Hunter 4. It sounds like this game is going to be all about altitude instead since you can hang on monsters and do different attacks depending if you’re higher or lower than a monster. Under certain conditions, players can cling on to monsters a la Dragon’s Dogma.



Monsters have in this game are terrain aware and will use the environment to their advantage. Players also have a mobile base in Monster Hunter 4, which online magazine leaks say is something like a caravan.

Sounds kickass. I loved Tri, so I really hope they localize this one. I also hope they bring back Hunting Horns and Bows, which both were absent from Tri. I'm always a sucker for bow weapons and Hunting Horns are badass too--smashing enemies like a hammer, or stopping to serenade your team with buffs.

The eShop price of NSMB2 is $39.99. Seems a bit of a fail to me, especially when Nintendo themselves are offering a bonus for pre ordering a retail copy.

Only 4 or 5 days until the release of KH3D! I'm excited.

That game is from Capcom right?. I can't help but think this is the project that took over once they dropped Megaman Legends 3. It looks as what legends should have been (except not that futuristic). I hope one day, Capcom remakes the legends saga using mechanics and graphics like these,

Yeah it’s from Capcom, but they deny that it has anything to do with ML3, though when people post stuff like this it makes you wonder.

If anyone has any interest at all in Rhythm games , you absolutely need to get Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. This game is great.

You don't really need to have played any of the FF games either to enjoy it (I never actually played any after 3...), but I imagine it might help.

I don't support games that literally drop half of their worth into DLC. Ridiculous.

It has stellar music, and still a good chunk of it on disc... or 'cart' as the case may be.

The DLC isn't even icing. It's like... those stupid fondant flowers everyone does now days that taste like paste.

77 songs. Thats how many are included in the game without any DLC. That is more songs than any other rhythm game I've ever played had included prior to DLC. They could absolutely have released the game without ever having any DLC and whats included would easily be considered a full game.

Plenty of games rip stuff out for use as DLC and leave you with something that feels half finished, but this isn't one of them.
