I still see nothing that tells me this will be a playable character class. For all we know, these are the guys that inhabit the forthcoming new continent and are just NPCs carrying 5th job possibilities for all. Magnus simply found his long lost home...

Of course, it could also be possible that this race of dragonfolk are the result of Magnus stealing the power of Gwaru. We just have to wait and see.

I agree that the nature of the darkened graphic is in the same vein as we have seen with Dual Blade and Mikhail in the past. We did get a rather detailed look at Magnus in the past and he is an NPC. I am 60/40 leaning toward new job, but there is no certainty in the information we have yet.

How to tame a dragon.

Wear it as armor. I have high expectations for this class.

I'm not sure what Mihile has to do with this, Mihile was umpsomething year old instructor some new concept art for a new class was expected, but for them to completely revamp a character's art they just introduced makes no sense. It's not Magnus.

I was hoping it would quote the other person too I agree, it's not Magnus, simply because this is not even close to the magnus concept from before and NPC's don't get fully rendered art work since Lilin. Mihile only got new art when he became a class. Sorry for the confusion.

Change Magnus to Red and you almost have this guy identically. This new guy has advanced armor, but the swordstyle is identical and his race is the same.

My whole point was that the story COULD be Magnus + Gwaru = Draconic.

Magnus is a Villian, Villians, unless reformed, aren't playable in Maple that alone is enough disprove the idea that it might be Magnus.

Why bother with the detailed art if they are just going to cover him up with armor.

Kaiser looks to be the same race as Magnus, but Magnus has one horn smaller than the other, a blue colour scheme and different shaped horns/wings.

I'm guessing that Magnus and Kaiser are different breeds of the same race.

Ok friend. Thinking this is Magnus is about as valid as thinking Ergoth is the Blackmage just because they share a few similarities, even as just a possibility.

You missed the most important statement there -

The idea is that after magnus killed gwaru, he reproduced/cloned himself or simply created a new race of warriors with the newfound power. Gwaru is supposed to be tied to nature and Magnus himself could very well be a magically created being. By combining their two essences, you could get a Draconic race.

It's the same idea as the Draconians from Dragonlance. The Eggs of the metallic dragons were perverted with magic and combined with Humans to create the Draconians (dragon men).
