I was expecting something more "bigger", but with tempest coming soon, I guess they can't spoil much.

Looks more like a Sabre or Zanbato than a Sword to me, probably because it looks to be single sided blade.

I'm not sure how relevant this is, but there's additional text in the diary entry:

시공을 초월하는 태초의 대검,
검의 선택을 기다리는 자는 누구인가?

Sword of the beginning of construction to transcend,
Who are all who wait for the selection of a sword?

My take on the text, because google translate is a piece of pomegranate and you should all stop copypasting it:

The sword that began the transcendence of space-time
Who is it that is waiting to be selected by the sword?

From my extremely basic knowledge, the text refers to the sword as 대검, which specifically means "great sword" or "large sword", and the word that google spits out as construct can be read as space-time as well.

I believe the second line is trying to imply that someone is waiting to be chosen by the sword.

The sword is the Black Mage.

In addition, someone posted this picture on Insoya with the title New Commander of Destruction. I’m not sure if it’s real or not, the window itself looks a lot like how things posted on the homepage do, but just be cautioned, haha. Even if it’s not real, it’s still cool to look at.

..no they don't. They think of a long piece of sharp metal with a hilt.

When i think of a sword i think "Slashy stabby metal death"

And it certainly looks sharp enough. That hilt looks a little unwieldy though. You'd be poking yourself all the time.

It was rumoured to be fake, because the image itself said it was for 'VIP' members of MapleStory, extra information for them.

This new sketch is definitely real though, posted on Inkwell's Secret Diary.
