3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton

The last KH game I played was KH2, and every year I'm dissapointed because I'm waiting for the platformer to come out already. qq

Though most of the games are more about the past and branches of the story than what actually ended..so I haven't been that interested in it. Is this KH3 going to finally continue from kh2 lol

It's not KH3, it's KH3DS. It's not technically a numbered title. (Yes I'm being anal about it.) But it IS after KH2 chronologically.

Also; maybe save for 358/2 days and that piece of pomegranate Re:Coded, the prequels / spinoffs that have come out have actually been fairly important to the plot development.

Yeah I mean I understand the purpose but it's just like, they haven't done what we left off for nearly a decade! It's ridiculous. I have read up on the whole heart chain crap and how he has to piece it together and crap.

KH3D is essentially the CoM for KH2. Immediately following KH3D I suspect will be KH3. But it won't come out for another 5 years at least considering Nomura is still working on FFvsXIII.

Japan nintendo direct: 3DS getting patches. First major one: Mario kart 7, take that Wuhu Mountain pass glitchers.
Folders to help you organise your 3ds menu coming on 25th for Japan/America.
New super mario bros 2 out August in Japan.

3DS exclusive pokemon apps that interact with black.white 2. Allows you to trade some extract pokemon from the app to B/W. 300 yen.
Pokedex pro(?) 1500 yen.

Woo A New Super Mario Bros. game I am so excited, happy, and just bursting with joy. The folders sound nice for organizing random things, but a bit late nice that they made it though. Believe they said New Super Mario Bros. 2 was being released in August for North America as well on twitter.

God they really love that Raccoon tail recently don't they?

Also confirmed: Mario kart 7 patch update will be required to play online after it is released.

I almost couldn’t believe it when they said they would start patching games and Mario kart would be one of them. They sure are making progress with the 3DS, slow progress though. The folders will be handy to shove the NES/GBA games in.

They announced NSMB2 a while ago but it’s nice to see some shiny gold screens I guess. I got my Mario fix with 3D Land though, wish they would say more about Paper Mario or Luigi’s mansion.

I wonder if these will ever get an English release.

No they didn't. You're either thinking of New Super Mario Bros Mii on the wii U, or you heard about the rumours that nintendo had a new 2d mario coming. This was the first time nintendo mentioned it.

Only thing that bugs me about Project X Zone is the enemy sprites just flip in midair when launched up it looks really lazy to me. Other than the previously mentioned problem the game looks cool, and hopefully they release it in other locations of the world than just Japan.

They said in January they planned to release a new 2D Mario game on the 3DS within the next fiscal year.

Because of Namco-Bandai. Bandai Games did the dotHack games including Kite (.hack//Mutation, etc).
That's also why BlackRose is in there.

So hyped for Project X Zone because I see Kite in there.

Man, that Nintendo Direct was pretty good. 2.5 pages of "FOLDERS!!" on GAF and 10 minutes wasted laughing with my friends at EO4's "CASUAL" difficulty. Excited for NSMB2, and Guild01 and Culdcept if we actually get them. Really, I found it amusing that after the whole conference... NOA's twitter updated talking only about the Kirby Wii collection, NSMB2, and the menu update.

Bad news UKers. Heroes of Ruin is going to be a GAME exclusive title >_>
