Zakum Diamonds!

Horusmaster Wrote:they just took the diamond, resize, recolor and add some sparkles to it.

That's not recoloring. Tongue

Recoloring is taking something and changing the color (DUR?). It doesn't have anything to do with changing dimensions and adding effects to it.

Well, the quest is at least partly glitched: the first time you initiate it, it seems to "complete" immediately. Clicking on Adonis gives you 500 exp and he says something like "Remember, you can only get the diamonds if you fight Zakum".

Then you initiate the quest again, the dialogue goes a little different (at a certain point, you can't select an answer. The only one available is "I don't know you, I'm out of here". He continues talking anyway) and the quest remains open.

So, it wouldn't surprise me to know the quest isn't implemented right, and diamonds aren't dropping.

Another possibility is that the diamonds won't drop unless you kill Zakum with one of the iTCG artifacts Adonis mentioned (Miner's Helmet, El Nathian Cloak, etc.) already in your inventory.

Already tried, didn't work. And I fail to see how item drops are dependent on what's in your inventory anyways...

people in this forum tend to forget we are talking about nexon. implementing this type of a function would take loads of gm time and will require doing some very serious changes (like adding a die.script property to monsters in the wz file). it will also cause massive lag due to the need of the server to actually check what you are wearing and calculate the drops, which will also take more money out of nexon on buying better servers.

bottom line, no.

Actually it's up to the client to determine that. The quest item drops are still there whether or not you really need them, meaning they'll generate regardless of conditions. And if you don't need them, you can't see them.

how are quest items related now? these diamonds are not quest items.

Also, whatever is generated in the client is hackable. whatever is generated in the server is lagable. these are basically the two most basic rules of creating mmos.

I should have said that the quest items were a great example. But it is the fault in the system that ANYONE can pick up untradeables dropped from Zakum or other bosses. There's nothing stopping other people from picking up incompatible skill books such as TT10. In short, anyone can pick up the Zakum Diamond.

Also in regards to the h4xing of the client, the system that you described doesn't exist in the first place, so no worries about that. Actually I can't think of a reason why you'd h4x the client for an untradeable item when you can just pick it up...

Anyone else think they will become tradable in the future like Jungle Lilies? (if they are even dropping.)

The weapon starts out level 50 and basically useless (45 atk or something) but it can be upgraded if you get the Zakum Diamonds.
