Question about Texas Hold'em

So, for my computer project i'm suppose to make this game (full text version...)

But i have a question about this one rule, here's the case:

player 1 have triple 5s with ace of spade and Queen of spade as kicker
player 2 have triple 5s with ace of heart and king of heart as kicker

will player 1 win because ace of spade is greater than ace of heart?
or will player 2 win because king is greater than queen and aces are equal?

right now i'm setting it as player 1 win, but it won't be hard to change it.

The one with the king will win...hold'em doesn't have suits.

I'm assuming the Ace and king/queen are in the guys hands since the triple 5 would have to be in the community

He means that the only time you even care what suit the cards are is when a Flush is possible.

ok, another question, what if it's all singles?

will it be a tie when let say both player have the same single except different suit.

In Texas Hold 'Em, each player has two cards in a hand. Then the dealer puts down the community cards, which everyone shares. There are five cards in the community. I'm assuming that the triple 5s are in the community.

The triple 5's are in the community. The other 2 cards are in the players' hands. If they were in the community, they would be ignored as they neutralize each other.


Horus, I suggest you look up a rulebook of somesort. It would definitly help you with figuring how the game works so you don't waste a lot of time on the wrong rules.
