The supposed Quincy-hollows can apparently Bankai and have some way of "vanishing" the Shinigami's bankai (which Ivan mentions in front of Ichigo). The group that was talking to Yamamoto leave without a scratch and we see some faces, most notably there leader who looks like a mixture of the 1st Espada and Kenpachi

I hope this doesn't turn into another ichigo loses his bankai capabilities and has to regain them again arc.

I might be off, but I'm going to go ahead and theorize those guys are Soul Society's King/Division 0, and company.

It's clear they were never "simple Quincys," but yea I agree with you. No idea what the hell is going on. May as well just sit here until next week so I can then determine that I am dissatisfied and that I need to again wait until the week after.

Honestly, wouldn't be surprised. Every single enemy looks way too much like Aizen.

German was always the theme for Quincys. As Japanese were for Soul Reapers, and Spanish was for Hollows + Chad.

Not to mention the VanderReich is german for Empire Vander and that chapter tittle that was in german. I wouldn't call them Quncys for now, they look like humans, wear hollow masks, use quincy necklaces, and can bankai like shinigami. They might end up being a secret experiment of Aizen like Cell was in DBZ.

I was pretty sure Hitsugaya killed her off, and so I went to look the answer up to this one online. Apparently, it was revealed in a character book that Hallibel was saved by Orohime and became Queen of Hueco Mundo in place of Barragan and with Aizen gone. Wat

Also, I'm curious. Why can't Orohime's power fix Nel's broken mask to bring her to her true form?

Orihime's power isn't omnipotent. I'm pretty sure there's an interval in which her powers are applicable. Even outside of the characterbook, there were no signs of Hitsugaya killing Hallibel. Similarly how there's no sign of Grimjaw actually being dead.

Anyway, so Kubo is going through that loophole in which there's one giant arc with many sub arcs (ie Aizen arc being Vizard, Arrancar, Karakura arcs).

Also Kubo laid the foreshadowing pretty thick with the whole "Oh Uryu, you and Ichigo became such good friends!" to hint at a fight later on. Should've just settled with "I was never planning to help him".
