Gunslinger Build (Lv. 10-200)
Arroz Wrote:yawn well I got to 58 not too long ago and your on the right track. Float kicks ass in certain situations. You guys don't have magatia C-2 yet so it won't be that useful, but what I do with it is pretty cool. I float from platform to platform dropping grenades its easier to mob that way and I barely use hp pots leaving me more room for MP which seems to drain really quick. Also fake shot has no minimum range to my pleasent suprise when I had a mob get the better of me. if your interested so does recoil. Actually when I was swamped with monsters I would get hit and while blinking I used recoil to slip away.

And Russt at your question float jump will never be useless. If float was auto like dash NONONE would touch slingers. when you float your kind of a sitting duck. The only way it moves is if your already moving and for some reason you go flying when you jump off a rope.

Not to be rude, but we already knew about all the skills that have no minimum range a long ass time ago.

That bomb method at C-2 is interesting though. :f6:

what I mean by that is if you do float while idle you won't move much, you have to build momentum.

So, exactly like what Russt was saying, gotcha.

What I meant is if you do normal jump while idle you wouldn't move much either.

(Can you change the direction you're facing, though? If not, that could be an issue.)

I would seriously suggest you guys look over that float video a lot more. xD

Yes, you can change the direction you're facing in midair. xD

What is best for gunslingers? I know they have the attacking speed of something faster double stab, not to mention they are ranged.

With a fast attacking speed and lower damage I would assume its best to train on high spawn, low hp monsters since lower hp monsters tend to have a better hp/exp ratio until you start hitting 1K HP and higher monsters. Not to mention higher lv/hp monsters would normally have a higher hp and def

So is it better to train on high HP monsters or fast spawn low hp until you get later into second job? Its like lets say you have a double shot that deals 100 total damage on average. Would it be better for you to train on pigs or start training on green mushrooms?

BUMP, and I have additional questions. IN LOWER LEVELS Since lower leveled monsters generally have better hp/exp ratio it is better to train on them until you over kill or 1 shot a monster that gives higher exp right?

Just train on whatever everyone else is training on dude. O_o

Train on Bubblings. From 1-70, because they own that much.

Exaggeration, but you get my point.

lol I dont know what to do...Where should I put my last 10 points? Flash Fist or Somersault Kick or split them 5/6?

While I'm not making a slinger, I'm fairly sure that you can't even use Flash Fist with a gun equipped. You can use the flipkick though, so I'm assuming it's better to go with that, regardless of how good it actually is.

can test that out for ya on my 1st job brawler-to-be later today if ya want... I still have the gun & bullets they give when you advance at lvl 10.

I did 11 SK. It's actually pretty useful as a last ditch melee attack when you're surrounded by monsters. It can deal decent damage even as a Gunslinger, at least for 1st job. Meanwhile, Flash Fist is absolutely useless for a slinger.

very very true, I even got sk to 11 before i maxed bullet time because the short ranged attacked helped way more than 20 acc.

I did the same thing and I found SK very useful when I get surrounded by mobs.

I updated the 1st job build to get 11 SK before Bullet Time.

Hey guys lil update, hit 60 a while ago and I've been at a little snap. I have blank shot at lvl 11 and I've decided to keep it there for a few reasons.

1\ blank shot does pitiful damage and has an even sadder stun rate and time.
2\ It only hits 3 monsters. When mobbing you will have well over 8 monsters to deal with
3\ Its replaced with ice shot almost immediately, with the few situational occurances when your faced with freeze resistent monsters.

Now what to do with that well max grenade. This decision is done on practicallity vs. damage and so forth. You will find yourself using bomb alot more depending on the situation at times while training I have to dash or float some distances. Using bombs incredible range I am able to mob a lot more efficiently then previously though. Also bomb does hit more per shot so it is still up to you. I'd though I'd just mention that and see if anyone might get some use out of this info

1. At max level it's 100% and a 2-3 second stun rate, I believe.
2. With Invisible Shot it's actually really good alternating.

Just my thoughts.

Fakes formula is not based purely on it's % in relation to your damage range. You can still hit 1s in 9x with it. O_o

Wasn't it 4-5 seconds or something like that?

I meant, the stun rate.

this is not a good idea. not all monsters are freezable and you'll want that stun for any monster that isn't. I can't even imagine doing the papulatus quest (killing master death teddies) without having fake shot to stun them.. it's not worth losing such a valuable skill just for throwing bomb.
