I thought that too, but the way she said that she "Has no regrets" and that she knew what was coming made me think otherwise. Likewise, Noel's message sounds like he is trying to prepare Noel for Caius and Serah's deaths. Considering that those fragments only appear after you have defeated the final boss, rather than after the time Serah was in the Void Beyond also supports the idea in my mind

Actually, they only appear once you have the scope turned on. While that is incidentally after the last boss, the last boss is not the trigger. And yes, Serah is referring to her death and Noel is referring to Serah's death and the world turning to Valhalla.

I wish it was as difficult as the first, otherwise I find it to be a superior sequel in all ways.

A chocobo chick in Serendipity gives the fragment Chocochick Down, which finally names the chocobo chick which is in Sazh's afro. It's a girl and Dajh decides to call her Chocolina. I just about spat my drink over my room.

Took a break to play Revelations but now I'm back and rounding out my bestiary and item farming. Some of these rare spawns are annoying even with the fragment skills.

Most people just switch to easy mode to farm him. THOSE PEOPLE ARE CASUALS.

Honestly, player character as SAB is enough, not like the other 2 ever do what you want anyway, with the +SAB ability ACC you don't even need them for the +success rate.

I usually just used one SAB to cast Deprotect + Deshell, and in the later stages of the fight switched to my Cerberus Paradigm so my Chichu could steal it's bravery and faith buffs.

The fight was tedious as hell because of that shield every few seconds, but it wasn't HARD. I'm not really finding any fight in this game that hard. I'm defeating bosses and then going online to find out that it was one of the toughest and then just going "Eh." (for example Yomi, which i defeated without realizing it was probably the hardest in the game)

What do people farm Yomi for? i can't remember what it drops :/

Cash and the material needed for the +1ATB weapons., Tetrahedron or whatever.

And yeah, the first XIII was MUCH harder, I still remember a few fights that I had to retry on half a dozen times, and I don't think any of the bosses on this one wiped me more than once, after that I had the pattern down and it was easy. Every form of Barthandelus was just hellishly difficult, and Odin wasn't a cakewalk either.

There, spent all night getting the monsters I missed. Three trophies to go. Controller set to auto-slot for a few hours. Hopefully I'll get lucky and have the final fragment when I check back later.

Didn't have that accessory(in fact what accessory?) so I had to make due with the other two sabs to boost my success. Other character was useless but Dendrobium was really damn helpful casting pretty much nothing but poison. Went down pretty quick after that.

I was an idiot and didn't get Chichu until after. That would've helped tons. Will use in future fights against him.


So far:
I'm only like 31.5 hours into the game and I've taken down Long Gui(y he so easy now) and Yomi which are probably two of the toughest enemies in the game. 102/160 fragments. 2/8 paradox endings. 20/31 achievements. Will knock down more today.

Got the clock stopper achievement.

I hate grindfests. Glad to have it out of the way.
Though i did make around 300,000 gil by doing my grinding at Bresha 100AF with the collecters catalogue (Don Tonberry ftw.)

Ugh. I got the Lucky Coin fragment sometime in the last few hours but didn't get Serendipitous. So after I beat the game again for the secret ending I'll have to go back to slots and let it run FOREVER!!!!!

The skill that you get for all 160 fragments is amazing btw. Game speed ++++++++

edit: Woohoo, plat get. Chocobo races for Serendipitous. You don't get it until you remove the chocobo from the roster though.

Thunder-zone Archlyte rare mobs drop +role accessories. I got the +SAB one in mid or upper east areas.

Beach, run around in circles and it'll come in a paradox form like Don Tonberry. Turn on the battlemania skill to help a LOT.

Make sure you're prepared. It starts off easy but gets kind of crazy near the end. Not really hard just hectic.

Does the 160 fragment ending build any on the normal end?
