We will be performing a scheduled server maintenance on February 8, 2012. The maintenance will last approximately nine hours.

Pacific: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Eastern: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

-What will be unavailable-

• All MapleStory game servers
  
• Name changes and world transfers will not be processed.
  

-Changes and Updates-

• We will be addressing a server stability issue.
  
• Characters Lv.120 and over can go to the Forest of the Priest through Cassandra.
  
• Gachapon update: Valentine's themed chairs - Chocolate Fondue Chair, Half-Heart Chocolate Cake Chair
  
• Cash Shop update: Auto Buff Gem (pet equip), 1 NX Valentine's Cape, Microwave, Sweetheart Sale, discounted Water of Life
  
• Cash Shop ending: All Stars Hair Coupon
  

-Known Issues-

• The game will close when using the portal to leave the Forest of the Priest. Your character we be in the Valley of the Antelope upon relogging.
  
• Certain Master Monsters are not currently accessible.
  
• The Demon Slayer skill Dark Metamorphosis is not fully function as it says in its description.

They acknowledged them, but when will there be a fix?

Well that's roundabout.

I don't see how they can't fix the portal or something during a maintenance; but I guess if that's all they can do, it's better than having people wait longer.

No mention of Battle Mages not being able to complete the Will of the Alliance quest chain.

Editing a map (incl. portals) would require a patch, it's just the nature of the .WZ files and the client/server relationship. This is the next best thing.

Just acknowledging their existence is a pretty big step for Nexon.

Did you have any quest before heading there to get it?

Hm, Nothing about Chase and the Conspiracy (Level 80 DS quest) crashing when trying to complete it.

So instead, they just make Cassandra warp you to forest of priest when you talk to her, since npc dialogue is server based and is editable by the American Nexon staff.

The problem with them taking the easy way out is that CASSANDRA WARPS YOU TO LEAFRE. CASSANDRA. This means you can warp to leafre from all towns. Good job Nexon, now everyone has stronghold teleport (or close to it) on demand from NLC and even Zipangu.
