We will be performing an unscheduled server maintenance on January 26, 2012. The maintenance will last approximately three hours.

I've lost all hope and respect for Nexon a long time ago. This is just icing on the cake.

how the pineapple hard is it for them to take down a game for a few days to get their pomegranate together. I rather take a hit in my profits for a week rather than piss off customers and lose em.

Well, unlike yesterday's "we're investigating and have no idea when we'll be done", this time they have a time estimate and a bold "We will be addressing the server stability issues."

This to me indicates that they intend to apply a server update which the developers (in Korea) believe will stop whatever is happening. (Either the bug that the hackers are exploiting, or the inherent instability that's recently flared up, pick your theory).

Whether the patch will really help remains to be seen, of course. But I'm allowing myself a tiny bit of optimism.

Their business model doesn't care too much about keeping customers, only acquiring new ones.

Edit: Also, this is GOOD for their profits.

I consider this an insult to my intelligence.

Finally. Now if only they could accomplish something during it.

Have not been on for the majority of the day, but did the first unscheduled maintenance accomplish anything?

I do hear that the Golden Statue glitch was fixed which, if true, sucks...
They took the time to fix a minor, non-detrimental glitch and left the server stability hanging. What. How the flying hell are their priorities listed?

WHAT?! People are getting free charm in large amounts? Holy s'hit! Take the game down! We can't lose profit.
