Guild compensation; update from last time

I got contacted 10 minutes ago by Tiara regarding the guild hack. I made a post about my ticket getting a response at the beginning of the month, so I was kind of surprised to get a chat invite. I thought it wasn't real but after I didn't open it, I got an on-screen message saying "Please join the chat SqueakySun." Anyway, it went as follows;

She clarified the purpose of the 10m that was compensation some months ago. That was to cover the cost of making a guild and getting it to 30 members (without emblem). So if you've already received that compensation, you won't get that again.

Only if your remade guild still exists and has the members will you be compensated. For my case, I wasn't entitled to any extra compensation because my guild no longer had the members in it, as I had left and joined a different guild, giving up on mine. (If you had waited 5 months with no news you would have too.) I am entitled to 5m extra because we got an emblem though. :/ So for example, you left your hacked guild, remade and expanded to 50 members, and you STILL have 50 members, you'll be entitled to the extra expanding cost after 30. You just need the members.

She also told me that she'll be adding a comment to my ticket soon and to let her know when I get it, I assume by sending another ticket. I was also answering questions about the guild I'm currently in (Scandalous) as a Jr wasn't available (or was afk... *looks at Omi*).

So anyone who logged a ticket about the guild hack, look out for a chat invite. I hope this helps anyone. :3

other than that, i wonder why won't give you any mesos, although u just lost the thing you used ur mesos for.

if it's because of inflation, they should at least look what they have in the cash shop >.> (but i bought tons of that yesterday)

You should, you'll get the amount for expanding from 30 to 100, with the cost of the emblem. As long as you have all the members you should be compensated appropriately.

And yeah... <_< I'm kind of sad I didn't get the amount I hoped for, my guild was dying because of the guild hack, I remade and no one really cared so... *shrugs* 5m is better than nothing I suppose.

I should tell my guild master that. He's already rich though,We borrow mesos from him all the time (around 10 mil each time)

They owe me then. Kasuhitomi used to be leader of Drakonia before I disbanded it to join Scandalous.

PS: I am planning to re-make it this time, but with multiple divisions though, hehehe~.

Nice that you got something, but it sounds like my old guildleader won't get anything since the guild that was hacked and remade back to 100 members was disbanned about a month ago since we were never able to rebuild the guild like it was before the whole guild hack happened.

They keep track of who logs in tickets when the guild-hack started. I've logged in multiples, along with my loyal guild members, WHOM, if I may say, still plays Maple Story, but very seldomly.

Yeah, comments have been added to the ticket I originally submitted. Tiara added a comment and I'm entitled to 29m now, I think she checked my old guild. If I had continued the guild I made I'd only be entitled to compensation up to the number of slots my previous one had. I was given the choice of seeking help with the remade guild (which is well and truly dead, so no point) or declining, but receiving 29m compensation as the first distribution regardless. It might take a while though but it's nice they got in touch, she was really nice and sympathetic about it.

I still think it's a lame ass compensation. <_<

To those who think it's a crappy compensation: stop to think about what they CAN give you. If you're conplaining about lost friends, they can't force your friends to come back to your old guild. If you think: "Oh they can give me craptons of NX to compensate" no they can't. They're a company, and if they did that for every guild, well, say goodbye to Nexon and to Maplestory. If you think they can give better meso compensation, they can't. What do you expect? 2 bil per member? I don't think so. The most they can do is fund you to rebuild your guild and that's what they're doing. If they gave out any more meso it could potentially destroy the economy through the massive introduction of mesos. You could say "Oh if they gave everyone more money than it wouldn't be such a big deal" but a lot of guilds got affected, and if you multiply 5 mil extra per guild, it really adds up. What do you want more, a little cash to remake your guild, or massive inflation and a little pocket change?

Just how in the world did they lose the whole guild database is beyond me. At least, they could've started from a backup with tickets. It's weird how everything got vanished and they have to rely on user information to fix things.

Maybe the MapleGlobal GM's are finally warming up to players and learning that they cannot just "ignore" their players and act like they're in some super secret society and can never speak to the players like normal human beings. What ever anyone had against GM Tiara, she just won points in my book.

They've been at this for about 3 months now, I'm guessing they'll be at it for another 4-5. There were a LOT of tickets filed, so yeah, not surprised that they're still dealing with this. However- pls4morestaff.

I agree that, that is a bad compensation.

However it IS better then nothing at all.
