Dear Maplers,

We are aware of the issues preventing players from creating Demon Slayers and other characters. We will be performing an unscheduled server maintenance on January 13, 2012 to address the issues. The maintenance will last about3 hours.

Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

• The following will be unavailable:
  All MapleStory game servers
  

-Fixes-

• Cutscenes will no longer freeze.
  
• Players starting a new Demon Slayer or Mercedes character will have the option to skip the tutorial cutscenes completely.
  
• Characters that experienced the cutscene issue may be able to progress after the maintenance, but if not, please delete the character and recreate it.

I got my Demon Slayer back, but hellban still exists apparently.

I was referring to both the inability to log onto the characters, and the hell ban. I didn't try again before the maint so I don't know if I could. Either way I hope it'll be fixed by the time I wake up since I'll be going to bed while it's still going on.

I wouldn't call the trade block "bannings" a bug. It is most likely part of a system to catch dupers. If it is a system that can make out the difference of a power outage on Nexons side and an abnormal spike made by hackers, I cannot say.

I actually wouldn't doubt if that happened.
Blizzard has done similar stuff in the past where they accidentally undid hotfixes they implemented.

I think this is the first time I've been this excited about Demon Slayers. (Southperry passes out at the thought of me not being exicted about Mercedes ATM).

And the Khaini tradeblock bans remains.

even tho i was online when server crashed my char isnt blocked in any way right now. (i couldnt log in onto ds till sc but when i tried to drop or open storage everything worked fine)

Yeah, same thing for me. My DS got blocked, but my account never got hellbanned.

Now there's a scrolling notice in-game about a maintenance in 15 minutes.

Will they release the tradeblocked, or will they nexon something else up, or both?
(Or did they just now put up a message for the previous maintenance?)

i think they reversed the +24 hours on cs items cause my card expired.

**Update2** The servers have been brought back down due to character creation issues still occurring. We will update with a new maintenance schedule once we have an estimated end time.

Hm ...that in game notice was kinda weird, since theres no announcement anywhere...Unless they just forgot to put it up, or realized something vital during bringing the servers back up and are taking them back down again

Edit : Oh well, looks like Nexon doesnt want me to start my massive cubing spree
