Gunslinger Build (Lv. 10-200)
Er, i think only air strike 30 is an HT book and it also has a cooldown of 5 seconds. O_O

They nerfed it from 15 in KMST way back when.

Are there any videos of a corsair fighting zakum or horntail using battleship? I have read the calculations saying that a corsair will out damage all when using battleship and homing/AH, but if the ship breaks often then they might not be that great at bossing. I realize that they can cancel bs before it breaks, but will that work enough to out damage nl's or even make them good at bosses? They will be getting hit a ton at ht and if they have to keep canceling bs and recasting it, then nl's might end up out damaging them.

Training method for gunslingers until lvl 70

What is best for gunslingers? I know they have the attacking speed of something faster double stab, not to mention they are ranged.

With a fast attacking speed and lower damage I would assume its best to train on high spawn, low hp monsters since lower hp monsters tend to have a better hp/exp ratio until you start hitting 1K HP and higher monsters. Not to mention higher lv/hp monsters would normally have a higher hp and def

So is it better to train on high HP monsters or fast spawn low hp until you get later into second job? Its like lets say you have a double shot that deals 100 total damage on average. Would it be better for you to train on pigs or start training on green mushrooms?

Eh, just read this guide thoroughly, and there's one question that I inquire. Didn't read the posts though, so this question may have already been asked.

Why is Float left at 5 at level 47?

The only reason I could strain from this guide is that Recoil Shot only needs 5 Float, and you would want to max Recoil Shot as soon as possible.

What a waste of a Float. At level 5, you use 20 more MP every 5 seconds rather than level 10 Float. Also, you fall 100 Speed less at level 10 (Standard: 670. Level 5: 200. Level 10: 100

And the best thing is, you only delay maxing Recoil Shot ONE LEVEL! That's right, ONE LEVEL!

Early maxed Float:

46: +3 Float (03)
47: +3 Float (06).
48: +3 Float (09).
49: +1 Float (10) +2 Backstep Shot (02).
50: +3 Backstep Shot (05)
51: +3 Backstep Shot (08)
52: +3 Backstep Shot (11)
53: +3 Backstep Shot (14)
54: +3 Backstep Shot (17)
55: +3 Backstep Shot (20)

The standard:

46: +3 Float (03)
47: +2 Float (05), +1 Backstep Shot (01)
48: +3 Backstep Shot (04)
49: +3 Backstep Shot (07)
50: +3 Backstep Shot (10)
51: +3 Backstep Shot (13)
52: +3 Backstep Shot (16)
53: +3 Backstep Shot (19)
54: +1 Backstep Shot (20) [MAX], +2 Fake Shot (02)

If you have an extremely good counterargument, then let me hear your reasons.

If you disagree anyways, at least max Float right after Backstep Shot and before Fake Shot...

I agree, I tend not to follow guides anyway but try to place skills in matter of importance depending where and how i train. Wings seem like they will be useful when training in platformed maps so i will max it before recoil. Also I'm thinking of maxing flamethrower and not ice spitter for the 6 mob damage as well as the DoT poison effect.

Well, Float isn't really used that much in training, unless you Float-JS everywhere, and neither 5 nor 10 is powerful enough to make Float-JSing worthwhile.

10 obviously is, it's just that recoil has to be above level 7 or so to be useful.

Better max Float than just leave it at 5.

100 is the same as default walking speed. Meaning you'll be floating down at a 45 degree angle.

The reason I left Float till the end is because I've yet to see it used in training.

I guess Float could be more useful than Blank Shot at those levels though, so I'll change it so Float is maxed after Recoil Shot. I think Recoil Shot is more important, thus should be maxed before Float.

Did you see that epic video posted on page 25?

Don't view the beginning...she doesn't use it in training.

Zoom forward when she's in Kaede castle, and you can see her

Recoil Shot>>>Bounce>>>Float.

And according to tak3backer, that's faster than a level 120 mount.

Anyways, it doesn't make that much sense leaving it at level 5. As I said, you only delay maxing Recoil Shot only one level.

*Shrugs*

Well, it's a prerequisite. And 10 Float isn't much more powerful than 5 in terms of practical use.

I didn't say faster than a 120 mount, i said as fast. xD

I think we both have different versions of what float JS-ing is. My version is what that girl used in the video to make you float really fast. I think yours is just...useing it to move across the map while shooting at the same time. O_o

My version sucks without recoil shot, yours doesn't. Yours would be better with a lot of jump though. O_o

Lol, that's recoil float JSing.

Oh and I have a question. Seeing as how Float makes you jump, is there any use for normal jump once you have it?
Reply
Not using massive/unnecessary amounts of MP or for JQs? O_O

How much MP does it use? The skill tables don't say.

Edit: Never mind, I'm blind. 14 MP per jump does add up to a lot, I guess.

yawn well I got to 58 not too long ago and your on the right track. Float kicks ass in certain situations. You guys don't have magatia C-2 yet so it won't be that useful, but what I do with it is pretty cool. I float from platform to platform dropping grenades its easier to mob that way and I barely use hp pots leaving me more room for MP which seems to drain really quick. Also fake shot has no minimum range to my pleasent suprise when I had a mob get the better of me. if your interested so does recoil. Actually when I was swamped with monsters I would get hit and while blinking I used recoil to slip away.

And Russt at your question float jump will never be useless. If float was auto like dash NONONE would touch slingers. when you float your kind of a sitting duck. The only way it moves is if your already moving and for some reason you go flying when you jump off a rope.

Uh, the only way you move when jumping is when you're already moving...?
