Guys, this is failxon we're talking about here.

Any weapon with more than "+7" on it is going bye bye. pineapple the hammers, they're probably becoming the next chalkboard as far as I know.

TAKE THIS, PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT HACKED STUFF WITH NX OR REAL MONEY! TAKE THIS!

Finally some balance in the game.

Next step: removing the duped items. You know, even if hackers with tons of duped 255 attack Empress gloves get the same amount of duped gloves without the abnormal stats, it's TOTALLY much better, but still not completely good.

If they also remove duped items and EE items (hope they're included in this one), THEN I'll be totally satisfied.
I'm 90% sure no one bought any 255att equips yet. I saw the MTS and the price was just stupid (showing off the equips). But yea, if they do remove enhanced hacked items, take that people who bought hacked stuff with nx or real money!.

Now the question is, will they check the storage/MTS this time?

Why do you think they mean anything other than 'hammers' with 'including with Cash upgrades'?

Eos Wrote:The way they described this implementation almost sounds like a permanent feature, where the stats are checked on login and adjusted/replaced, not a one time event. If it's truly that in depth it would get almost anything exceptionally powerful, depending on their parameters for 'possible'. Very curious to see how this plays out.

Just wondering, what leads you to this conclusion? I thought they would simply do a database search based on their parameters & delete the item, then take the itemid and use it to add back a clean version. Isn't this how Nexon usually goes about replacing/deleting/adding stuff?

For them to actually implement a system that makes this check every login and actually *edits* items would require quite a bit of new code. I'd be impressed.

I hope they don't miss this...

You'd be surprised to know how many actually bought them. If not with NX, with PayPal or other means.

There's a shady business behind hacks and exploited items. A very shady and remunerative business.

Not holding my breath until the dust clears on this one. If they don't check MTS, Storage, Duey (Yes, even fucking DUEY), and locked items, EVERYTHING, then this is a failure in execution entirely. As stated they don't mention mass duped or EE hacked equips either.

Here's hoping this is the "dust storm" of Maplestory. Or whatever the pineapple that huge item wiping of Diablo II patch was called.

You were close, it was called "Rust Storm".

IIRC Duey was taken out a few months ago. That new delivery system can only be used by GMs, so.. this one shouldn't be an issue.

To think if the hackers didn't smega their 200+ att items, people wouldn't have complained to the point
of nexon finally making an effort to remove them+other exploited equips.

Guess they'll keep it more private from now on.

won't get my hopes up for now. waiting to see how it turns out first.

don't see how it was a "hard decision" for them though. should've been as easy as it could get.

Ok, glad to see Nexon is doing something. Really hoping my perfect 140 bow isn't taken in this Judgement Day style sweep. I hope they take their time and destroy the hacked equips.

And then those who buy the hacked gear and smega it will be the cause

No bans?
"hard decision"?
Sheesh. Any account in possession of an item with too many slots must be permanently banned. What possible excuse can anyone have?

And yeah, looks like they won't be touching the EE-hacked crap.

Disappointing.
