@ dark link, grats, we are trying warlod and the tentacle dude... and failing everytime. I think our healers arent geared enough for the fights.

When my GM heard about Heroic Ping Pong man he was like "Wait, you have to kill these tentacles on Heroic!? Nuh-uh, pineapple that pomegranate!" LOL
We were gonna slime man tonight, but didn't have all our core raiders, so we just did normal full clear. I FINALLY got my Tier helm and replaced my 359 Eng goggles!

I've been looking at WoW for awhile. And now that it's free to play up to level 20 (at least the basic version is) is it worth downloading and checking out? Been looking for another MMO to play around in when Maple is in the shitter.

Compared to Maple, you just can't go wrong with WoW. You'll be amazed with how much more streamlined and efficient everything is. I suggest you take your time while leveling your first character to soak in all the lore and environment. It's quite a blast. Oh, probably what you'd never expect: skill resetting is done with in-game gold, and it's very cheap to boot. Since each class has three specs (think class styles), and resetting is super easy and cheap, you can always toy around until you find what works for you.

Also, you gotta consider what role(s) you enjoy the most. Do you like PEW PEW, or is being support/healing more of your thing, or do you want to be that unkillable tank who protects his party members? If you're unsure of what role you want, the following classes are always nice because they can do almost everything (healer/tank/DPS): 1. Druid 2. Paladin

Don't worry about armor types; pick the class you think is coolest. Unless you're a tank, expect to die in a few hits from dungeon bosses, regardless of your armor type.

on 10man, you have to kill 5 eye tentacle, 2 small tentacle, and a big one, big one have like 2m HP, eye tentacle have like 900k, small tentacles around 217k HP, and every tentacle alive, give a dmg buff to the already raid dmg buff. its insane... and if you leave them alive, they give dmg buff to the boss WHILE doing dmg to the raid...

Yeah, a couple people were explaining the fight in Heroic and everyone pretty much went "Oh we're fucked" lol

Spent 4k valor points on my ret set last night, gained 5 ilvls. going to CRUSH next week considering I was already close to the top of charts while being 10+ ilvls behind.

Tried both ping pong and slime on heroic and didn't get to far on either. I think we made it through the first black/add phase on ping pong once and got to the second set of slimes 3-4 times spending about an hour on each boss. Raid damage was just way to high and healers had no chance. We did knock out some meta achievements, but the chances of getting the mount with heroic deathwing/spine as part of it are pretty slim.

Going to try the heroic slime strategy on normal to see if it'll help, we've been having trouble to where our caster DPS pretty much can't do pomegranate while a void's up.

Of course "caster DPS" means "mages" so I don't see why they can't switch to fire and beat up a dummy for 2 minutes. Not like the rotation's hard.

You guys must be doing the strat wrong, cause they should NEVER have mana problems with the current strat.

Fire's better once your gear can support the massive amount of crit and haste it needs.

Yeah I don't know what we're doing wrong, possibly a comp problem (we have almost no locks or shamans in the guild, so our raids tend to stack druids, warriors, and priests, and to a lesser extent mages and hunters).

We previously introduced the ability to form cross-realm parties with Real ID friends, and now with Patch 4.3.2, we're adding the ability for players to use that same functionality to form raids to run older normal or heroic raids, or participate in Battlegrounds!

This will allow you to join up with your Real ID friends from other realms and:

Form a cross-realm raid and use Raid Finder
Jump in to any classic dungeon or raid and be automatically placed in the same instance
Join forces and dominate the Battlegrounds

Please note, you will not yet be able to run normal or Heroic Dragon Soul with cross-realm Real ID raids.
