Dear Maplers,

We will be performing a scheduled server maintenance on January 4, 2011. The maintenance will last approximately three hours. During this period, all game servers will be unavailable. Name changes and world transfers will not be processed during this maintenance.

Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

• If you didn't receive your guaranteed items from the 12/23 Hot Time event, you will be compensated.
  
• The Golden Temple will be open, with free entry.
  
• There will be 2x EXP every weekday from 4-6 PM Pacific.
  
• Everyday Hot Time events at 4:30 PM Pacific (1/5 - 1/11)
  
• New year welcome back gifts for players who meet certain requirements (details to come)
  
• New player gifts for will be given out.
  
• Cash Shop update (new): 1 NX Nebula Conductor (weapon cover), Mount Gachapon Tickets, discounted Miracle Cubes and Gachapon Tickets, Best of 2011 sale

edit: about the obvious hacking issues, everything is news to nexon (or at least the twitter account). they came back today and had no idea what has been going on for the past week+

While this is generally true of a "scheduled" maintenance, it seems quite extreme... I'm pretty sure they were swayed by recent events, and this is their way of saying "we know, but we can't/won't do anything about it - however, here's some more stuff in the cash shop".

Wow just when I thought there was a little hope left...I guess they REALLY think that its not that big of a issue.

They took down mabi and worked on it during their supposed "break" but they cant take down maple? even when they are back?

All hope is officially lost now....well from me it is, I'm sure for most it was never there.

I know, but I really expect something else entirely (Too depressed about the hacking and the drama it's making). I'm interested on knowing the daily hot time events prizes, if any.

I just quitted this morning after getting my corsair deleted and started playing dragon nest Sea but those hot time events look so tentative but i'll be strong i will come back when the phantom is out or never...

I assume you're referring to NXWatch stuff? Yes, that is true.

However, what about Everyday Hot Time events? Gifts for players, etc.? As far as I'm aware we haven't heard of this being planned (in the data or otherwise). It might have been, but it seems unlikely.

Same goes for the daily 2x (which we did not have the first half of "Winter Break")

It's gonna be 3(or 4..) weeks of my IGN not changing sigh...

.. last time they said they processed all, they sure didn't process my Scanian ones.. and a bunch of other's..

Probably nothing that grand, I mean if its daily all I would expect would be Legend coins, SP / AP reset, some trait things and that stupid envelope that gives fame.

No offense taken but keep in mind working on the game isn't the responsibility of one sole person.

I wish these things didn't happen.. at least to the extent it does. Sigh.

It includes things like testing the issue then identifying how it exists, make a patch to fix the issue, apply the patch, test and the loop continues if the test fix didn't work, etc.

Why would you have heard about a surprise having been planned? Nexon doesn't announce surprises. They're server side so they wouldn't be in any data extractions. And why in the frelcking hell would they give this as a response to massive hacking and duping? Just because those have been the most pivotal things in players' live's for the past few doesn't mean Nexon gives a rat's ass about it, let alone enough to randomly throw events at.
