What did you get for your loved ones, what are you doing for Christmas?

I got my niece a little black baby doll because I thought it would be hilarious. She has dread locks. Also teaching her about multiculturalism... I guess.
I got my dad L.A. Noire because he's wanted it for a while.
And I got the beard a new acoustic guitar, because frankly, his is crap.

I have no definite plans for Christmas but will probably end up hanging out with a friend because she invited me to do something.

My extended family is so huge I had to make an excel spreadsheet just to make sure we didn't leave anyone out. We bought a lot of gifts for the kids in our family (nieces, nephews, cousins, second cousins, etc.) but for a lot of my first cousins I've been making teddy bears out of my grandma's old clothes. I made a bunch of them for my immediate family and my aunties and uncles last year and though I wasn't sure if it would be creepy or not (you know, having something made out of a deceased person's clothes) everyone loved them and it made me so happy to be able to give something really meaningful for Christmas. So I'm making more. I miss my grandma a lot and I know everyone else does too. I think I miss her laugh the most; she had a wonderfully honest old-lady cackle kinda laugh, it was the best. I can still hear it in my head if I think about it.

Christmas Eve is when my side of the family celebrates. The whole extended family gathers at one person's house, and everyone brings their presents and puts them in a huuuuuge pile around the Christmas tree. We eat and drink and sing and hang out until around 10-11pm, then Santa comes and starts handing out presents one by one. The kids literally have to have multiple trash bags because they get a gazillion gifts (one of the benefits of having a huge extended family) and it's a blast to see their faces light up every time their name gets called. At this point our family has gotten so huge that it takes well over an hour to hand out presents to everyone (I think last year might have taken more than two hours even, but I can't remember for sure.) After presents are done being handed out, the kids are allowed to open their gifts and the house is filled with the sounds of ripping paper, squealing, laughing, and general merriment. It is pineappleing awesome. Then the party continues on until everyone is too tired or too drunk to keep partying, which usually is around 4-6am, sometimes longer depending on who is hosting and how much stuff there is to do (bingo, karaoke, beer pong, Rock Band, Wii, drunken caroling, etc.) It is a freaking blast.

The next day we head off to party with my husband's side of the family, where the gatherings are generally less... hectic and crazy? His side of the family doesn't always have one huge family gathering, which means we often travel from one auntie and uncle's house to another, giving and receiving gifts and eating whatever the family has prepared. Then when we have visited all his aunties and uncles, we head to his parents' house and party some more with his family, which usually involves doing shots with his mom. Again, pretty awesome.

I love Christmas. I love our crazy parties and spending time together with the whole family and having good times. I love the feeling of togetherness and experiencing Christmas with the kids and the warm fuzzy feelings of LOVE that fill the house. Can't wait for tomorrow night!

We've been doing Secret Santa with my immediate family for the past few years. I got my Aunt >.> So I got her a necklace and a Trader Joe's giftcard.

One of my friends has been bugging me like crazy to buy her the Sims 3 Pets, so I finally bought it for her and she exploded.
Another friend always wears my slippers when he comes to my house, so I got him his own damn pair (which I wrapped in 15+ tied plastic bags. some abc gum fell in there too <3)
ANOTHER friend and I had "WHAT DO YOU WANT" fights, so we finally just decided on xbox points for her and karma koins for me.
Oh, and I bought some peppermint bark and ferrero rocher to put in everyone's stockings :> (including mine, ofc)
And a new tank for my bettas! With a filter! Because I'm lazy! So I guess it's more for me

I have no clue about the rest of my friends :l

I don't think we're doing much this year, just relaxing. We normally go to florida or california but my dads sick with bronchitis.

Too many gifts to list. I have a small family but a huge extended family.

I don't like christmas so I normally spend it on the road traveling around but unfortunately this year it looks like a nice quiet christmas home alone. At least I hope it's alone.

Would've spent it at home, but we decided to stay home for thanksgiving, and my grandma is leaving Christmas day to party with some friends of hers, so we came down to Arkansas for chrimbus. I got my sister a Starbucks giftcard, my mom a new, less convoluted and stylish purse, and my dad a set of shampoos and body sprays he's had his eye on.

I hate Christmas.
Never got in the holiday spirit this year.
Probably stemming from exams.

I got my brother two Brian Regan (comedian) DVDs. I got my sister two CDs by Blood Ceremony and The Tear Garden. I got my mom a daily planner and my dad a car wash gift certificate. My parents never tell me what they want so I always have a hard time figuring out what to get them.

As usual, my mom's side of the family is coming over.

I got my mum a hefty gift card to a gardening website she frequents, so she can buy a bunch of seeds and plants for her garden and future business' inventory. I bought my sister Just Dance 3, and a 20 dollar Wii Point card so she could buy a good number of DLC songs for the game. For my brother I got Homefront and Bulletstorm (both pre-owned) and I'm paying for his Xbox Live Gold account for a few months. My mum's boyfriend doesn't celebrate Christmas, and thus doesn't like to get presents, but I did find a way to give him SOMETHING: paid him back the money he lent me to afford Windows 7 for my new computer. For my girlfriend, I got her long-anticipated Sonic Generations and a pretty expensive light box set for her jewelry making. And finally for my friend, Max, I'm letting him pick a Steam game, and I'm also gonna get him Saints Row 3 so we can play multiplayer.

As for what we're doing... same thing as every year. Tomorrow, Christmas Eve day, early morning we're going to my uncle's house for a smallish party, gonna stay til a little bit past 2 PM, then we're leaving and going home to prepare Christmas Eve dinner, with a few people coming to our house that night. On Christmas morning, we get up about 8 AM, settle down, start opening and exchanging gifts. Once that is all done, we have our usual Christmas morning breakfast (lots of bacon and cinnamon rolls--I love me the orange frosted cinnamon rolls). After that, we enjoy everything for a bit until about noon, then we have to drive about an hour away, meeting up with my father, get dropped off with him, then we go and celebrate Christmas at his house, including a full Christmas dinner with everyone on his side of the family. Then once it gets to about 10 PM, we leave and head back home, and that concludes our Christmas day.

i'm ashamed to say i haven't gotten anyone much of anything, aside from a good friend of mine whom i got cupcakes plus an uncharacteristically heartfelt letter. and also a nerf gun for my friend whose name i pulled for secret santa (don't worry, he loves nerf guns). i'm not sure if having baked cookies for friends at an almost-party counts either, but i did that. i haven't gotten anything aside from food--my secret santa flaked but ended up with his gift anyway. more power to him.

just re-read what throws is doing and that's basically what my family does every year; i'm 20 now, so my pile of gifts is slowly dwindling. ;_;

I'm poor, so I can't get anything for my family members. It sucks. We'll see what they get me tomorrow, I suppose. The least I can do is spend time with my family members over Skype.

So, I got four lovely SPers gifts for Christmas; Will, Jon, Cedric, and Manu.

I won't disclose what I got Will, he has yet to open it. For Jon I got him a 25 dollar visa gift card to stash away in a "visiting Kurt fund." I wrote a nice letter and decorated a stocking and put it in there all nice and cute. For Cedric I got him 6 packages of flavored condoms, a ring for his penis, and heart felt card as well. His all came in a stocking as well. For Manu I got him a USB SNES controller, which I wrapped up in green paper, two dinosaur toy keychain plush things because they were cute and our little inside joke, and a card from the heart as well. On his stocking I wrote "Manu :3♥" but the cat face looked more like boobs....I got his mother a tin witch ornament because I see those witches every time we skype lol.

SO YEA, that's what I did for Christmas for my close friends. I got myself a new table, new phone, and still kinda looking around but the majority of my money went towards those four guys.

So far, I've gotten two gifts; A USB Mushroom Lamp from a really cool friend of mine and a hand-crafted quilt from my best friend, with the help of her mother and grandmother. c: The quilt is amazing and is so comfortable. <3 She knows me far too well.

I bought my dad a bunch of fancy Keurig coffees and ciders because he's been playing with the new Keurig machine he got for cheaps, and he seems to like it a lot.
Gonna get my mom something for her iPad, which is a zombie right now.
My sister gets something, I do not know what yet because it is impossible to shop for her.

I really want to get my friends from school some gifts as well, but I don't have the money to buy it AND ship it right now. I'll probably get them late Christmas presents when I get the money and give it to them when I visit in a month or two.

Gonna be spending it here with my family probably, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Most of our money goes towards our 3 kids. Each kid gets a "large" gift (more expensive) and then a bunch of small ones. Each kid gets about $180-200 spent on them. I really don't remember what we got since they've been bought for 2 months and wrapped for 3 weeks lol.

For my FI I bought a bunch of smaller things. A gift cert to a gun range, Dante's Book the Divine Comedy, a new tool set, some new flashlights, the usual boxers, wife beaters, some new coffee mugs and I'm sure I'm forgetting some things.

My mom got a calendar and some sh*t from bath and body works. My dad got a bluetooth speaker.
