I killed a dragon once only to be killed by a berserking horse from behind afterwards.

Death by herbivore...

When I fought Krosis the dragon had crash-landed through his coffin, causing him to wake up while the dragon was still alive. Won, but ended up using every HP potion I had. Frown

I've been playing this now and then on the PS3 and I really like it, but I keep running into random bugs, like the Companions' Falkar and Vilkas (SP of names?) are apparently permanently glitched in a way that they will literally track me down once I'm in sight and will NEVER stop interrupting me by auto-talking with me. They even follow outside of town, and can't fast-travel away while they do this.

I have to attack them until they become ''enemies'', ''kill'' them, then haul total ass as far as possible, then fast-travel so they stop tracking me. Looks like I can never complete their quests. Oh well. It was literally every second or so of them stopping EVERYTHING I was in the middle of and saying crap like, ''I'm here to help''. It's like if Navi said, ''Hey, listen!'' but then proceeded to send you to the equipment/pause menu every time.

I also ran into an EXTREMELY glitched dragon that flew around backwards, ''wobbled'' around like a spaz, attacked at nothing, and would speed up and zip around in random directions, and it would often ''get stuck'' in the air and just wobble there for a bit.

These glitches also cause severe lag until I move away from them. Only that dragon was glitched though, thankfully, the ones before and after so far haven't done this.

I love the dragon bugs, while dragon fights are really awesome and epic normally, it's a nice surprise to see one that had one too many beers.

First two glitches this video lists are dragon-related:

And then there's the dragon bug introduced in patch 1.2:

PS3? Wow, I feel sorry for you.

I keep hearing of a lot of slowdown issues affecting a significant amount of people that have the PS3 version that renders the game nearly unplayable after something like 30+ hours. Bethesda is trying to fix this, but it seems that it's an issue stemming from the coding of the engine used to create the game in the first place, and it's most noticeable on the PS3 because of some dual layout-type data thing. Apparently Fallout: New Vegas suffered from the same thing.

A fix for the slowdown was part of the patch 1.2 changelist iirc.

The second bug video Lorx posted is almost exactly what I encountered, except my dragon would move around VERY fast in that pattern.

Yes, I notice lag here and there sometimes even outside of the ''bug-zones'', though not as severe outside of them. I keep thinking, ''Man, what am I playing this on, my pomegranatety computer?''. When I encountered the dragon glitch my game would lag so badly it literally froze during it two times. (As a gamer my first concern was, ''Oh no, I hadn't saved yet....'') It went away once I entered a building.

Patch 1.3;
Quote: General stability improvements
Optimize performance for Core 2 Duo CPUs
Fixed Radiant Story incorrectly filling certain roles
Fixed magic resistances not calculating properly
Fixed issue with placing books on bookshelves inside player purchased homes
Fixed dragon animation issues with saving and loading
Fixed Y-look input to scale correctly with framerate

Quote:The first update is already available for the PC version through Steam, addressing numerous issues including the confused dragons and broken magic resist. PS3 and Xbox 360 versions should be getting the 1.3 update next week.

Unfortunately for PS3 owners, this update doesn't address the "long-term play issues" so many PS3 users appear to be suffering. That said, the team is looking into that, having already determined that the reported issues are actually being caused by "a combination of smaller [things]."

Guess the long-play thing wasn't addressed in 1.2 then.

Source, for the people who like/need those sorts of things.

Level 42, starting to encounter Ancient Dragons. Their breath attacks really, REALLY hurt, and one ate me at nearly full health when I tried to melee it. They seem to exclusively use frost attacks as well, thankfully I found some glass boots with 50% Frost Resistance a while back.

Other than that, the College of Winterhold is now a dragon graveyard.

Yeah, sh`it's painful. On my main right now, I'm wearing full Daedric, but I'm going to remake another set to get better stats later on, then enchant all 4 armor pieces with Resist magic. Then, no more fear of running into annoying mages.

I'm pretty sure resist magic can only be put on necklaces, rings, and a shield if you use one. Frown
So if you need more defense against magic/dragon breath attacks I reccomend the Atronach stone.
It grants you a 50% chance to adsorb incoming spells and making their damage 0, 50% slower magic regen, and +50 magika.

And to your earlier post, here is my current character with sneak/assassin gear.
I use a full set of Daedric when I want to be a OP'ed tank.

Oh yeah, you're right. It only applies to certain specific pieces. I forgot that Skyrim sucks in that sense.. But oh well. If you can't put Resist Magicka on everything, you could just put Fortify <whatever> in placement of it, I guess.

I think Skyrim handles armor Enchanting a lot better than Oblivion did, at least. In Oblivion, the only armor enchantments that were actually useful were either Fortify Magicka or Resist Magic/Spell Absorption. Okay, there was Fortify Health too, but you really had to try to die in Oblivion unless you played at the highest difficulty, so...

At least now we can put damage-related enchantments on some of our armor. Although this probably makes Enchanting in Skyrim even more broken than it was in Oblivion overall.

From not playing Oblivion, I really can't comment on that, but I heard they removed a lot of things Morrowind had, lol. To me, Skyrim feels way more restricted than Morrowind. Back then, you could have literally done anything to your armor if your enchantment stat was maxed out. Even to this very day, I miss having a passive Chameleon armor that went up to 300%.

Here's a picture of my main on Skyrim:

 Without Daedric armor

 With Daedric armor

So far, dual-wielding swords are pretty decent for my main. Might eventually convert to maces because they penetrate armor and literally ignore armor stats. Downside is that maces are terribly slow, and I can't even imagine attempting to do a power attack with maces, my god. My alt on the other hand, plays with Destruction spells and uses a bow (lolLONGRANGE all da way). But I'll have her start upping 1H too, so I can protect myself at close range.

My main's already Thane of all of the holds, guildmaster of f`ucking everything, and hero of Skyrim after I beat the main quest, so now I'm running around trying to find sh`it to do. Already gathered all Daedric artifacts already. Goddamn it.
