World transfers and name changes have returned to MapleStory! These items were removed in August so that our developers could investigate issues in the processing system at that time and to determine what fixes or changes needed to be made. Our new system functions on the surface like the old system, but the processing system has been upgraded and refined. We are also pleased to announced that name changes and world transfers will be available to all current worlds!

For a limited time, these items are on sale for 25% off:

Character Name Change 7,500 NX (reg. 10,000 NX) Character Transfer 18,750 NX (reg. 25,000 NX)
Here's how the name change system works:

1. Enter the Cash Shop, select the Etc. tab, then select the Character section.
   
2. Select Buy for the Character Name Change, enter your PIC when prompted, then select OK.
   
3. Read the Rules for Name Change carefully.
   
4. If your character meets the requirements and you agree to the terms, click OK.
   
5. Enter a name when prompted. Click Check to see if the name is allowed or is already taken.
   
6. When you have an eligible name, click OK.
   
7. Double-click the Character Name Change coupon to move it to your item inventory.
   
8. Wait until a server maintenance where name changes are processed. This might take up to one month. It will be mentioned in the maintenance notice.
   
9. After the maintenance, your character will have its new name!
   

Here's how the world transfer system works:

They might've said the new one would be automated, but pretty sure it always required a SC.

World transfer not needing SC seems a bit impossible due to all the exploits that could open up from it.
