it could have 300dex req for all i care...that 20% dmg...

is there any downslide to these new weps? there must be otherwise its just too broken...

They're drpq weapons.
Upgraded versions of the ones already in GMS.
They can only be scrolled with tablets. (which give crappy attack boosts and have a chance to blow up the item)
Also, EPIC item =/= epic on reveal.
Epic item means it has the orange background a la ravana helms.

And its 5% chance to increase the damage by 20% , for me its like 1 hit out of 10. (correct me if i was wrong about the 5% chance)

And as I said before, people get easily turned away by the "High DEX" requirement. There's a reason why people still prefer VIP over the 130 and future 125 VL equips, because there's no 2ndary requirement for VIP, where there is for 125 VL and beyond.
That's the problem with most mindsets nowadays
Has a 2ndary requirement = Sucks
Has no 2ndary requirement = Awesome
Whenever someone asks what's a good Axe / BW for Demon Slayers, majority of people suggest the VIP weapons, because the DEX requirement of the 130 weapons makes people believe you MUST sacrifice stats / gear just to get to that amount of DEX.

Oh sorry about the upgraded vl its 100 , its much easier than 160.

In my server no vip weapon exist , the best choice for fast 5 BW is the lvl 130 and upgraded vl once legend comes.
(till we see vip weapons in gach).

I read it as u get a +5% critical bonus and then +20% damage. which is close to what the old drpq weapons had but they were mob specific

I'm pretty sure the destruction rate for tablets is gone once Legends come.

Critical Bonus:
Probability - +5%
Job - Shadower
Damage - +20%

It didn't say
critical bonus: 5%
Damage: 20%

o.o"

no way they hit 20% damage to any type so i bet the extraction was not clear about this part.

Assuming you're a mercedes...that's pretty normal. Faster you attack the faster it runs out.

Yea, if you have a Hurricane type attack you eat through durability like no tomorrow. On my 15X Blade Master I can go for levels without repairs even with the old depletion rate.

Is the durability thing based on attacks, number of mobs hit, or how many hits were dealt total?

Based on attacks, any hurricane-like skill wastes the fastest.
Based on mobs, anyone with high mobbing skills would be screwed.
Based on hits, 15 meso explosions at LHC and it's done lol.

its based on how many independent hits were made.
So yes, mercedes and bowmasters are hit hard on that.
