MapleStory is your story, and now you have a chance to bring its characters to life! Take your favorite game beyond the boundaries of your computer screen by designing an NPC for a chance to customize a Mighty Mugg for MapleStory!

This is a special contest with two stages, very specific guidelines, and a grand prize never offered before, so be sure to read carefully.

Stage One: Maple In Real Life

Stage One is open to all Maplers. You must demonstrate your creativity with an original design of an NPC for Maple World. The design can be either hand drawn or computer generated. The judges will select the 10 winning designs, and the winning entrants will receive a reward of 10,000 Maple Points each. These finalists will then move on to Stage Two where the prizes get bigger and better but the challenge becomes more demanding.

How it Works/Rules:

  • Submit your entry through our web submission link.
  • Include your in-game character name and a two-line description of your NPC and his/her function in Maple World.
  • Entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM Pacific on December 5, 2011.
  • There are no guidelines for the design, but any entries that are considered inappropriate or infringe on copyrighted material not owned by Nexon America Inc., or those that plagiarize another persons work in the opinions of the judges) will be disqualified. (For official rules, please click here.)

Prizes:

10 winning entrants will win 10,000 Maple Points each.

Stage Two: Color Me Maple

The ten finalists from Stage One will be sent a blank white Mighty Mugg. Participants will then customize the Mighty Mugg to look like your own character or an NPC from the game! Not sure how to make your Mighty Mugg magnificently Maple? Click here to see some of the entries from the Mabinogi Mighty Mugg Character Creation contest.

How it Works/Rules:

  • The ten finalists from Stage One will be contacted via email for their mailing address and with additional information, including exact details and due dates.
  • You will have two weeks from the date you receive your package to customize the Mighty Mugg and mail it back to Nexons offices using the return box and shipping label provided by Nexon.
  • Package must be postmarked by the return date indicated in email correspondences.
  • The Mighty Mugg must be modified and MapleStory-themed in order to be eligible for prizes.
  • Please note that the Mighty Muggs will not be returned once the contest is over. Instead, they will be put on display at Nexons offices. Therefore, you must be willing to part with your creation. (For official rules, please click here.)

Prizes:

Once all the Mighty Muggs have been returned we will judge the entries and select a grand prize winner.

That bean-bag chair seems pretty cool =o

Though, it'd be cooler if you got to keep the Mighty Mugg, or at least a blank one lol

EDIT: Wow, those Mabi ones are pretty impressive.

I've gotten 2nd-3rd in 3 events and never gotten a single reward, so I'd tend to agree. So would my ticket that's been open since MTS master merchant event was over. They probably don't even make that friggen beach towel+t-shirt, anymore, that was like 4-5 years ago.

Someone submit a chinchilla NPC.

it's purpose is to provide the latest info of the maple world.
it should wear a mexican hat, and talk in a different language every time you click it.

GO!

I forget what event it was for, but I did happen to win that beach towel and tshirt so they do exist. Wether Nexon gives it to the right people or not is a different story. On a funny note I often wear my light blue pig ribbon shirt to work = ).

I got to say that those plushies and the bean bag looks pretty dang cheap. Almost home made. Totally not worth the effort.

Oh good, I'm not the only one who wanted to tack 'heavily used' on to that one, although I'm pretty sure it's just the color and the glare.
