KMST 1.2.409 - Thief/Pirate Revamp
I have a feeling that they're going to improve the dps of the old buccs'/sairs'/shads' playstyles, make them OP, and dump them into the upcoming pirate/thief 'hero' classes.

And then, 'HAY GUYS WE STOLE MADE RLY AWESUM PLAYSTYLES FOR UR NEW LEGENDARY HERO CLASSES LOL

HAVE FUN RETRAINING FROM SCRATCH FOR ACCESS TO YOUR CHARACTER AGAIN. Oh, and you need to buy CS stuff for them again because, well, they don't share cash wardrobeslol'

I DO have a theory. Remember the legend's begginer skills? Well, what if everyone was getting one? That'd sort out a lot of things. Specially adressing all problems from a class without having to spend SP on a skill. Maybe buccs get a hp drain passive, or the likes...

And of course, that'd mean more LINK skills. That means that everyone and their mothers will want character slot expansions... So yeah, that's even a cash motivator I'm throwing in there.

let me direct you here: http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=50949

have fun coming up with ideas.

I've changed my mind on the Shad changes... Yeah, they look nice (Except for Smokescreen), but removing BoT and making Assualter a rush skill? Lol, how will Chief Bandits even train? Edge Carnival on one mob at a time all the way until 120? It's like a nightmare of how the Assassins and Night Lords have it to the extreme because at least they were ranged...

Steal sucks for dmg and meso explode you need to hit things first

Doesn't matter, it Xhko's anyway. Mesos stay on the ground for 3 minutes and you can rush now.

The speed of the new Triple Throw will take some getting used to.

Is Quadruple Throw (780 ms) faster or slower than the Triple Throw before this revamp? If it's slower, I'll dearly miss seeing a steady stream of stars when I attack.

its much much faster.

Okay, I just watched a video and it looks alright; much better than how my pessimistic mind visualized it after seeing Triple Throw in action.

After letting this update sink in, the only thing I'm really disappointed with is Drain being deleted (as much as I love Avenger, I can accept it being gone). I know, I'm probably the 100th person to bring this up, but I fell in love NLs for two reasons: their attacks are fluid, and they can conveniently heal themselves without HP potions. I didn't mind seeing BMs get drain in the Jump patch, but then seeing Drain deleted in this Tespia patch is a huge slap in the face to me.

Please let Drain be reintroduced some time beteween now and when the patch hits the official server. That's all I ask.

Here's hoping they get a passive Drain effect/active buff on all of their attacks.

How stupid can you possibly get?
35% damage increase?
What the flying pineapple.
Do you even think before you post?
Wait, I already know the answer; you don't.
Just...
NO.
Adding nice shiny %'s everywhere isn't a recipe for a revamp. People are more concerned with the PLAYSTYLE.
The fact that all the prototypical buccaneer skills are removed and everything looks like pomegranate now won't be fixed by a 35% damage increase.

lol why would a bucc get 35% damage at 3rd job when classess like bowmaster have to max out spirit link in order to only get 15%. that's evil. adding a passive % damage isn't the right way to balance a class

Ahahahaha. Don't worry. Us Vipers still only do 1/10th of your damage.

Maybe just me or I'm sorta loving Buccs changes.
The only thing bad is that we lack a decent skill in 2nd job.
And we have no 1v1 skills until 4th? job.

But I have only trained up to 3rd job in KMST though so I can't judge 4th job :\

Yeah, yeah.
Don't argue with idiots; they'll drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Summation of 4th job changes:

They took everything that was good and unique, and made it common and pomegranatety. For good measure they made it ugly as hell.

Buccs did get to keep SI to be fair it's kind of a pomegranatety buff. The fact that Most classes don't even need it and then most of those who do could can get by with the new 'decent' version of it does kind of suck. So if one of the best things buccs kept was an already kind of pomegranatety 4th job party buff, that should give you an idea of how things went for buccs in 4th job.
