Play Normal games, your game will improve by miles, play only with bots rot in the low elo foreverrrrrrrrrr... Sry had to said it dont remember if you finally played a proper game.

I've played a handful of normal games on a different account. I only feel like I'm improving when I play with friends and they give me feedback. :V
Awesome, my elo is 1288.
I'm using teh same theory I have with starcraft. practice against bots to refine mechanics and technique/builds, then proceed to ladder. that and I still want to try champions to find the one true character I like playing the most. I kinda like the tactical placement/use of skills like Brand's pillar and alistar's headbutt.

Its a good theory as a theory but in practice its a different thing, bots are pre-programmed robots (not literally) so when you play too much with them you will always be 20 steps ahead of them. You need some actual practice with actual people because you are playing with and against the most complex thing in the universe... and the most random too >.>.

Im just saying if you only play bots to keep a "healthy" win-lose ratio, dont you are only hurting yourself in the long run. But meh thats just my opinion.
Bot games are okay when you're starting out and learning all the different mechanics or want to try a different build. Later on though you obviously want to switch to doing normals full time to improve your gameplay.
Eventually you'll see bot games as pointless because you'll just faceroll everytime and it doesn't give you any feedback.
I haven't played a bot game in months because they're just a roflstomp mode. If I want to try a different build I'll do it in a normal so I can get accurate feedback as to how the build works against human players. For example when I tried AD Sona a couple days ago in a normal. It was okay; we won but I have more fun actively supporting with her.

Congrats. Tongue1
how does ladder work? If you've never played before, do they make it based on your summoner level or is it based on something else?
I'm willing to lead a SP-EU team if there are enough participants. So I guess, apply!
Dodge runes are being refunded!

Quote:Summoners!

As many of you are aware, there’s been some buzz about the removal of Dodge as a primary stat in League of Legends. Well, today, we’d like to officially confirm that we will be phasing out the use of this stat over time.

Over the course of the next several weeks we’ll be taking progressive steps to remove the Dodge stat from the game. Step one will take place on Tuesday, the 22nd of November, when we will be issuing every summoner that bought Dodge runes a proactive refund for the full price of their purchase. At this point Dodge runes will remain available in the League of Legends Store, and you will have the option to re-purchase them if you would still like to utilize this stat in the interim. Should you choose to do so, your Dodge runes will be refunded again once the process of removing the Dodge stat has been completed.

We’re not ready to delve deep into the specifics behind this decision just yet, but we wanted to make sure that we gave plenty of notice and compensated all of you as fairly as possible. Going forward, we are excited to be implementing changes to characters and items who currently utilize dodge as a stat, including, Sivir, Udyr, Ninja Tabi, Sword of the Divine and, perhaps most notably, Jax. These champions and items will be receiving reworks that we think will really bring some fun and exciting improvements to their gameplay.

Additionally, we think this is a great opportunity for us to explore new types of runes. You’ll likely see some new runes make their way into the game as we draw closer to releasing the Dodge remakes.

Yes Kaj, I'm late, and I'm proud to admit this for the record. Rolleyes

Srs: Well guess where my funding for my CDR runes will come from. Biggrin
Corn Wrote:Jesus Christ invited the rest of you guys, but I think there might be one or two Southperryans left they aren't in a team.

I don't know if you invited me but don't. Far too incompetent and out of practice from only playing weekends now. Might join you guys in April for a few months before I officially stop having summer vacation for the rest of my life.
For once, having Dodge runes be too expensive to be worth my time works out.

That's not what the hustlers want to hear.

Anyone want to speculate on what the new runes are? inb4lifesteal

Oh please no. D:

Hybrids runes? That would be a cool idea.

Maybe new tier for runes (Unlikely) although that would be too sad and cool at the same time Sad
GP10 marks seals and glyphs please. <3 Heart Heart
Ugh, I'm put off every time I try to play this game every few weeks or so I feel like playing a match, but I just really WANT to at least give this game a fair shot and learn it. A friend of mine handed me a bunch of character guides when I said I'd begin, but reading the actual contents and strategy is impossible because it's like it's written in another language. I suck every time and I'm sure I'd be better if I played more frequently, but I just hate being thrust into online play without really understanding how to play very well.

Is there anything worth reading or advice worth taking to learn and get better at this game?
Sorry bout last night Corn. Better that my net cut the time that it did than it cutting in game right? Tongue1

Nvm.. apparently it didn't cut quick enough :<
