MuscleWizard Wrote:only thing that'd even make a full inventory wipe even at all fair to the players, would be if they reimbursed EVERYONE who has EVER spent nexon cash on maplestory with the FULL BALANCE of EVERY CASH TRANSACTION that has EVER TAKEN PLACE on their account.

to do any less would be criminal.
Well, not the full balance since Cash Shop items wouldn't be wiped, but, otherwise, that was factored into the "compensation" part of my original post.

Stereo Wrote:They still take just as much time to replace as the characters themselves, so what's the difference from a full wipe?
Well, first of all, we stop pretending that they'd be wiping things from our conscious minds, and then the rest works itself out.
You don't replace memories; you make new ones.

Stereo Wrote:At least half my gear is irreplaceable thanks to various changes in the game, some of it would be expensive to replace due to other various changes... (I'm thinking Evolving Rings, Adventurer Ring, Maker'd gear with more stats than you can ever get on new stuff, weapon scrolled with 100%s that are no longer available, iTCG gear that's near impossible to find, or completely impossible to forge due to removal of boss drops...)
The entire economy would be reset, making your former gear and their stats irrelevant.
That's the entire idea behind a reset.

So, thanks for pointing out the obvious?

Back on subject, I'm glad to be seeing that the restore seems to have gone on without a hitch.

Which is why we should just say "Nexon lied" to cover our bases.

This. Some of you give Hime too much credit. She isn't a mastermind pulling strings trying to pineapple over the community. She is just an employee trying to inform people and answer questions with the limited information she is told.

Grats on getting you characters and stuff back guys Biggrin

I'm wondering how did they bring the "right" characters back? Or did they just brought all the deleted ones including the hacked ones?

Anyways, good for those that got their characters back

I think the reason they seem to have restored all the "link data" is that it was never deleted.
I recall at the beginning of the "char missing" thread, people were talking about how the missing chars still appear in guilds.

So the reason the restoration is so perfect is that the deletion was messed up.

Still, good job, Nexon. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Oh, and that Echo box is silent... merciful silence, yay!

Deleting charactars the normal way doesnt make them disappear from Guilds and Buddylists either.
Also, they brought back my UA sin with unreleased hair. Biggrin

Yeah, they've restored whatever it was they deleted... who knows exactly what that was, other than the link from the account to the character, and the IGN reservation.

Hmm I'm a LITTLE surprised, usually checking back to SP every 30 minutes or so I'd see some CH(s) in some Server(s) down. Since SC this hasn't been the case.

Not much overall lag, but every 45 minutes or so, I get a huge lag spike that crashes me.

Except right now where servers and chans are going down real fast. Hopefully this is a USC and not a hack attack.
