The season of spooks and scares has arrived in Maple World! Get into character this Halloween with three frighteningly fun events in MapleStory. From a special in-game boss battle to a sale on new transformation items so get you dressed up, from a website scavenger hunt to a real world costume contest, completing these tricks will earn you some awesome treats. Halloween has never sounded sweeter!

<div class="hr"/>In-game event:

Mansion of the Good Witch of the Left-Side

October 27 - November 8

• Requirement: Lv.13 or higher
  
• 12:00 AM - 11:00 PM Pacific (3:00 AM - 2:00 AM Eastern)
  
• During the event period, an envelope invitation will appear above your head at fifteen minutes and forty-five minutes after every hour.
  
• Accept the invitation to be sent to the waiting room.
  
• Up to 150 players can participate each time.
  
• One minute after the first player enters the waiting room, the participants will be split into groups of up to fifteen and sent to fight the boss.
  
• The time limit for the boss fight is twenty minutes.
  
• If you die during the battle, you will be moved to the revive map
  
• You can talk to Dingshroder during the fight to forfeit and leave the map.
  
• Upon defeating the boss, a message will appear on the screen. Talk to Dingshroder at this point to receive your reward and leave.
  
• Possible rewards include recovery items, scrolls, a Jack-o-Lantern familiar, a Pumpkin Chair, or a special title.

Cash Shop event:

New Transformation Items

October 27 - November 9

Get dressed up this Halloween with bundles of brand new transformation items. Double-click one in the Cash tab of your item inventory to receive scrolls in the Use tab of your item inventory. Double-click the scrolls in the Use tab to change into a monster for ten minutes! Each bundle of five is 1,000 NX and will expire in thirty days if you don't use them.

Whether youre a citizen of Maple World or Saints Haven, Arad or Erinn, Halloween is on its way for all! To celebrate the season of trick-or-treating, Nexon is hosting its First Annual Costume Contest!


Event Details


Dress up like one of the characters in your favorite Nexon game!

Whether youre in head-to-toe camo as a soldier from Combat Arms or channeling the pillared ferocity of Karok, we are looking for costumes that demonstrate originality and believability. Get creative!


The Trick: How to Participate

• Submit digital photo(s) of yourself wearing your Nexon-inspired costume as email attachments to Webevents@nexon.net. The subject of your email must be: First Annual Nexon Costume Contest.
  
• In the body of the email, include the Nexon titles you play and your in-game names and servers for each.
  The Treat: Prizing
  
  
  • One Grand Prize Winner will receive a Kindle Fire
    
  • Three finalists will receive a Kindle Touch 3G
    
  • Five runners-up will receive NX 50,000
    Multiple submissions, plagiarism, and use of inappropriate content in the opinions of the judges shall be grounds for disqualification. All decisions of the judges are final.

fffffff I hope the witch stews are back and they're just not saying anything. This halloween is pretty worthless to me otherwise, given familiars expire.

Seriously, how hard is it to reactivate Malady?

First we lose the ability to get Energizers, now Witch Stews are going bye-bye, and Onyx Apples are almost impossible to obtain with nobody APQ'ing (because Amoria is a royal pain to get to and 9/10 times somebody gets dc'ed).
Nexon can't possibly think we're strong enough to not need attack potions. What is going on here?

Another Halloween event where Cash Shop people get a bit more fun than the rest...

No stews, no nothing. high level mobs don't drop their familiar cards. the "echo megaphone" constantly spams stupid GM messages. The side-kick system is broken as hell and 120+'s can't use it at all. This patch pineappleing blows.

pineapple you Nexon. I want Witch Malady back. I don't care if making stews doesn't give experience anymore, I want it back.

At least give our zombie rings their animation back.

This event sucks, i've done the boss fight about 10+ times now, i've gotten nothing but Reindeer Milk, Sunrise Dews and Power Elixirs.

If you make an event you can only do at certain times make the rate of getting something decent slightly higher nexon, k?

I've not tried the update but it does seem quite bland this year. I would only be interested in the chair, but I'm not a collector or anything.

Anybody gotten scrolls from the witch? I'm curious which ones are even possible.
So far I've gotten "recovery items" (i.e., potions... lots of those scrumptious power elixirs), the chair, and the title.
Wondering whether there's any point going on after I get the familiar.
