Quote:Nexon Unveils New Titles To Be Showcased At G-Star

MapleStory publisher Nexon announced its lineup of games that it will display at G-Star 2011 when the Busan conference runs on November 10-13, including several new titles that have been previously shown off, and a few that were unrevealed until now.

The games include Cypher, a strategy/team-based 3D action game in the "Aeon of Strife" genre; Atlantica S, a social game based on Atlantica Online; Age of Hero, a fantasy-based MMORPG; and Project: Reload, a side-scrolling action shooting game.

Nexon also intends to bring Epic of the Three Kingdoms, a turn-based strategy RPG based on the Three Kingdoms period that's inspired so many Koei titles; and Space Tanks Online, a multiplayer tank game. It's still unclear which, if any, are mobile projects.

No MapleStory 2? I thought Nexon Korea was going to introduce it by the end of this year. :<

Personally, I constantly doubt that Maplestory 2 will ever hit.

I think it'd be safe to assume it wasn't coming this year anyway considering that the rest of the year is filled with updates to the original.

MapleStory 1 is evolving into MapleStory 2.

Ta-Da.

MapleStory 2 is still in development. I read somewhere that Nexon is going to show Mabinogi 2 at G-Star 2011. Maybe Nexon will surprise everyone at this year's G-Star.
Since October 14, there's a new job vacancy (map level designer / system programmer) for MapleStory 2.

Isn't Mabinogi Heroes / Vindictus Mabinogi 2?

Or are they making an actual sequel as well since MH/V is more of a prequel?

Mabinogi Heroes/Vindictus is the prequel.

Mabinogi 2 is the sequel to Mabinogi.
There is also some official artwork of Mabinogi 2 released on the interwebz.

Here's how Mabinogi 2 is going to look like. ↓

I will look forward to mabi 2 then, as long as it's not as restrictive as vindictus. I don't wanna play someone else in an MMO, I wanna be me.

Hey! That's almost identical to my theory! Big Grin

Honestly, for a while, I was under the impression that Big Bang was Maplestory 2.
I'm still not quite ready to believe there will ever be a true sequel.

As of February last year, it was still an actual thing, but, as I said, there's no way a sequel is going to be dropped as the current version is being reorganized.

Certainly seems that either the list in the article Notify posted is either incomplete or Mabinogi 2 is not as ready as Nexon had hoped (which happens all the time in game development).
