Familiars as a collectible
#1
Since monster cards are now easy mode, I'm wondering exactly how much difficult (aka more fun) collecting familiar cards is. They have their own special cards right? What kind of drop rate do they have compared to monster cards?

So what happens to the Codex if the cards expire? Do we have to keep re-obtaining them to keep out set bonus and +all stats?

monster cards and familiar cards are separate items with separate drop rates

I think they're separate but in the same "book"? o-o

To be clear, do familiar cards expire 30 days after being picked up, or is 30 days after being used? Because if I can collect and never use them then awesome.

I believe it was 90 days for lvl 3, basically 3 cards of the same kind or something. Unfortunately, I get stuck at the ch selection screen so I can't even test nothing, bleh.

Where in the world are you going to keep them all?

In the Monster Codex? Maybe? Dunno.

Maybe I'm missing something, but those sure as hell look like useable items to me.

Well, she is a strong supporter of gratuitous NX usage. We all know how much she believes nexon should be copiously rewarded for their awesome job running the game.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Notice how later in the video, he clicked in the codex to summon it? I believe you can sell those "cards" but you consume them to put them in your codex, like recipes.

Oh what a dumb fucking system. So in order to add them to the Codex I'd have to use them, thus setting off their time limit? Another awesome system.

MapleStory sucks.

And, once in the Codex, the expiration countdown begins.
She wants to be able to keep them forever, meaning she'll have to keep the actual cards.

So, once again, I ask: Where in the world (is she) going to keep them all?

Man, imagine if you had followed the tracks of logic, saving me the effort of having to explain the obvious.

I'm going to hope and pray that the expiration date is for Tespia only.
That way I can be disappointed on actual release.

Blame Nexon America. They don't expire in JMS.

Oh, and if it's anything like how it is in JMS, the Familiar cards are hard as f'uck to get in higher level cases.
