A response to the hackings.

I think you guys should be happy they are even trying to compensate players. Yea it prob wont be very much but it has prolly gone way too far to give each player the correct compensation they deserve and who knows they might be generous and give something like VIP equips or empress weapons. o.o;

Best way would be to fix the vulnerability first, else people will keep getting hacked, and I doubt Nexon will give second packages away..

Sadly, though, it must be a super-secret method which elitist hackers don't intend to give away, so we'll keep seeing hackings here and there for a while.. at least until Nexon finds out WHAT is causing this, which might or might not happen anytime soon. If it's not anything they can notice from server logs or other means, I doubt they will.

Let's just hope the hackers will get what they want, be satisfied soon, and give away the method to Nexon for them to fix it. It's almost certain now that the cause of the hacking is NOT on the player's part anyways.

The hackers will never "get what they want and be satisfied."
All signs point to a gold-selling site, and as long as people continue to buy meso and NX from such sites, the hackers will need more "merchandise" to sell.
This is also why they will never give the method away to Nexon to fix. It's not a "game" to them, to give away when it's not amusing anymore. It's a business. They will keep doing it until stopped by external means.

Enjoy your max below average level 50 equips, 15 untradeable powers, and 150k mesos.

They removed the 4 person mount from the game(think it was crashing chs or something), and all players who had one got 10 mount gacha tickets as compensation.

Can you apply for one of these, or do you have to already have a ticket?

Re: the poll. I'm going to assume everyone who has a not-closed ticket in the "Hacked Account" category got one of these, regardless of ticket age or hacking circumstances.

Yea, I didn't put the poll up. Was surprised to find it on there today actually. In any case, a number of my friends with open tickets in the hacked category did NOT get this, so I'm not sure how it was decided.

Nexon still thinks that 10m meso bags are 5k NX... So expect 50m meso+clean level 100 equips if you're 120+

Man, I was hacked back in Dec 09 and been getting auto gen'd msg's almost weekly! Kinda shocked when I saw that there doing this. I really don't care about getting new stuff from them. I had my Hero set up the way I wanted him, low dex build with the black Rayvn sword...

Kinda upsetting, I have no idea how anything works on this game now Lol. Kinda nice of them, but overdue.

Hacked last year on a nub account with loss totaling only 100k. Ticket still open with the weekly messages.

Main Hacked this year, ticket still open, no response.

EDIT: Support portal "temporarily out of service" so I can't double check the tickets themselves.

EDIT2: Oh, haha. I just got the compensation message on my alt account since the ticketing system went back up. Hardly entertaining though. Wonder why that didn't show up on that account's email though. Granted I suppose it is about time considering I opened that ticket 2/22/10. Same account had participated in the "log in 1 week for maple points" thing and didn't receive squat and got that ticket auto-closed. Another odd thing. Even after logging out, and logging into a separate account, the ticket listing was for the first account logged in. After restarting explorer (only use for maple official site, Firefox main), I found that my main account's ticket was still open and unresolved.

Hacked on October 2010, got the e-mail from this thread a few days ago.

Any hint from the official forums when will the compensation packages begin? I might reconsider coming back to MS (haven't played since the hack) IF and only IF I get a decent compensation, something at least 200 bucks worth, which isn't even as much as my stuff was valued.

Compensation based on the current level and class of the characters on your account is stupid. I abandoned the account that got hacked, so they are saying if I had kept playing and got a char to say lv 180 I'd get more compensation? Makes no sense.

I just got this a few days ago about my hacking on March of this year. I haven't been playing so I had to go through the forums a little bit to see that apparently there have been a lot of hackings recently? So I don't like the fact that they are lumping my case with those <.< My account was hacked AND all my characters were deleted. My whole account, which I've had for five years, was wiped clean.

Like everyone else, I don't believe that this compensation will be worth it. Unless they decide to re-create my Phelusia, then I don't care what this compensation is.

All I want is maplepoints lol, as if people cant just grab a high leveled friend and say "hey get me a VL weapon" same goes for shitty clean equips. It's not the equips I want compensation for, as if I expect nexon to give me 1m NX+, it's the TIME put into a character that is now completely worthless to me. If anything they should base the compensation on amount of NX spent over the course of the account. This is fairly proportional to how strong a character was, and it fucks the people that got pro based on buying mesos all the time anyways. I don't think I even got this response, gg right.
