yoosergio Wrote:I'm pretty sure Ao no Exorcist will get the Brotherhood treatment, it seems right (though that won't happen soon, unless the manga is short). Soul Eater also seems right for the treatment, but it needs more manga (I think so, I haven't read it, so I don't know how much is left). I haven't read it either, but went ahead and spoiled the pomegranate out of it on Wikipedia. Yeah, Soul Eater isn't done yet but the extent of the divergence between manga and anime is substantial thus far.

It truly is. Was Revolutionary Girl Utena this balldiculous?
Ao no Exorcist Final
And everything was okay again in clicheshounen-land
Fate/Zero 1
Gonna be fun watching this with no Fate/Stay background (Along with Death Note, two shows I've watched a few episodes of but never really finished)
Very clear start, and I'm not lost in any particular way, but that was pretty damn dialogue heavy.
C^3 1
NOPE! Nope nope nope. Not even finishing the episode.

C3: I'll give it 2 more episodes to impress me. This episode was just 20 minutes of stereotypes :/

Let's see....
First off,
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon episode 1: It's pretty much not what I expected from a "sci-fi", futuristic anime.....it pretty much made me disappointed due to my high expectations of this anime. Just another of those "ecchi" type animes that has female characters with huge breasts that are bigger than their heads...I didn't even want to finish the whole episode...
Busou Shinki Moon Angel episode 1: I don't know why the episode is like 5 mins. It's pretty much like Medabots + Infinite Stratos put together.

C3 Ep 1 - Cliches or not, I still rather enjoyed it. It's a little weird seeing a tsundere like Fear not being voiced by Rie Kugimiya.
Fate/Zero Ep 1 - Also rather enjoyable. I haven't watched Fate/Stay Night yet (plan to after F/Z ends), but it looks to be rather good.

I'm now watching Steins;Gate since it ended. It's just pure awesome! Combining conspiracy theories, mad scientists, hackers, 4chan, SERN and characters with very contrasting personalities is just incredible. Not to mention having absurd plot twists every other episode.
I'm on episode 14 now.

I hope this season's anime doesn't suck.... C3 was so so, but it's the only one I've watched so far. The other 2 I saw looked like kid shows so I didn't watch them.
I'll have to check out steins gate. I watched like 2 minutes of the first episode and turned it off never to go back.

Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle Ep 1 - An entire anime series devoted to puzzle solving? Pretty damn original, if you ask me. Looks pretty promising too, despite the cliche potentially tsundere childhood friend + potential love interest.
On a side note, hated the opening theme, but found the ending theme okay. And lol, is that a Rush Hour puzzle in the next episode preview?
Gonna go check out CubeXCursedXCurious. I only got to read the 1st chapter of the manga anyway (since that's all that was scanlated, I think), so I guess I'll go watch it. Expecting them to drag out the entire God-forsaken first chapter to fit the whole 24 minutes of the first episode.
EDIT: pineapple these pomegranatety subs. Does anyone know where to watch C³ with better subs? pineapple Hadena, haven't felt this pissed since EpicFail butchered Aria with Yodaspeak.

The puzzle thing was okay. I just hate "transformations" like that though. I felt like he was going super saiyan or something

Ugh. I'm giving up on C³. I've found better subs, but the flow of the story just doesn't sit well with me.
At least they didn't attempt to stretch chapter 1 out to fit an entire episode though.

I felt like ep1 was just completely rushed for C3. The manga felt a lot smoother, but the anime..... they went from him getting a box -> random girl eating cookies in like 2 minutes.

The two minutes of Hadena subs were the funniest two minutes of subs I think I've ever put myself through. Watching the hilarious Hadena subs might be more fun than getting a correct translation of the show from Commie.

UTW is doing C3 as well, which is where you'll get the best video and sub quality from.

So have any of you ever seen a Bakemonogatari AMV for the song "The Darkest of Places" by Kosmit? I won't link to it but... yeah.
