Lol, well they're kids they still havent figured out that they'll never get close enough to touch most of the pop stars they listen so theres no difference.
IMHO this kids are not actually speaking their mind but more their parents since they're still too young to have expirienced life.

I find extremely hard to believe some of them came up with a whole close-to-good concept eloquently and so fast.

Second person to say this today, I guess you are just watching the wrong anime. You don't have to sift through pomegranate to find the gold, just use the opinion of people whose taste you trust to guide you.
