They did. But the reason they removed them was because there was soooo much leeching going on. Level 50- people on ropes attacking a monster once and letting their party kill it for uber experience. In kMS you could even find like level 200s looking for leechers so they could get the full 250% exp bonus for their other characters/their friends.

All maps have a set number of spawns, and the glitch bypasses that, e.g. the glitch should bypass it there too.
