Staying on res - what should I bring?
#1
I figure it's time to start thinking about this since I leave on the 5th. I have a grand total of... my laptop, my toothbrush, my razor, my DS, my phone, clothes and the like, and my pencil case/other stationery-esque school supplies. I know I'm forgetting things.

-Laundry basket, detergent, dryer sheets.
-Towels
-Snacks and lazy meals like cup noodles. A kettle too.
-Alarm clock
-Flashlight
-Band-aids / First Aid Kit
-Umbrella
-Paper plates/plastic dinnerware
-Waste bin
-Health card

I'm sure there's more than just the above.

You need your whole house. A lot of stuff, don't forget chargers and the necessities everyone mentioned. And $money$ plays a nice role.

Good luck man, the people you meet, good luck.

do you have clothes hangers? i forgot to buy some when i moved out. then i did laundry. then i had to throw every freaking piece of clothing back in the dryer after i went to the store to buy some because i'll be damned if they weren't already wrinkling and i'll be double damned if anyone thinks i'm ever ironing pomegranate.

Flip Flops. Seriously. Them showers be hella nasty.

Under bed drawers are life savers.

Rent a fridge. makes going out to eat much more manageable when you can take home left overs.

If they're not supplied, cleaning tools. Should probably bring along a car if you have one too.

Ah! I get it! You are going to be living on campus.

Um... like they said, bathroom essentials are a plus. Buy some flip flops EXCLUSIVELY for showers, they are fking disgusting most the time.

Bring 2 towels, 2 sets of sheets, a pair of earbuds (or two) if you have a noisy roommate, and plenty of change/small bills for washing clothing.

A mini fridge is also a plus.
