A GM won an event?

i find this on nexon forum it's pretty wierd, or does nexon just don't have enough tshirts?

and i've tried to create characters with similiar names to a GM before and none of them works.

E.G NXJOEW, NXPROSE, GM______ and none of them works, it says you can't use that name.

You're not allowed to have "GM" or a server name in your IGN, so that's why. Yellond is obviously just short of the real name.

Well, technically... GMs participate in GM events, so it wouldn't exclude them from getting the chance to win. That GM probably just beat the odds and probably still got the automated email from her own employers telling him/her that he/she won, lol.

If they really didn't have T-shirts, they'd just pick random inactive characters.

Isaac realized what I saw too - first, it's Yellond, not Yellonde, second "nethe" is probably not banned from use as it's not explicitly "GM____"

The person, if it's not a GM, is off rankings anyways.

i don't think it's an imposter for 2 reasons:

1st, i've seen a GM with that name in a SS somewhere (too lazy to find it now, but i could have sworn that a GM has this name)

2nd a GM who sees the imposter did not ban or name change that character, and instead give them a reward? i don't think so...

You do realize that like 80% of the IGNs up there break the rules, right? You're not supposed to have numbers in place of letters, that's considered impersonating. I/L similarity also falls under that. "Kh4inimagic" has an alteration of a server name in it as well, that's against the rules too.


Just saying, that's a particularly easy GM name to fake (Yeiiond,yeiLond, yeLiond) and they left a lot of other violators there.

Yeah, banning all people that have a name that breaks the rules would be like banning 80% of the players. They also stated in the ToS you can't have a nick that doesn't mean anything and you can't have a nick that's a phrase or a name, or something like that..

Lol, I see you guys found my post on the Nexon forums.
So, here's my logic on why this person is a GM.
1. Nethe is a known GM name, and she's been seen around in the other servers, so NetheYellond would be Nethe's Yellonde GM.
2. As someone else has said, anyone who says that it should be NetheYellonde isn't correct, because you can only have 12 characters in a name, and NetheYellonde is 13 characters.
3. The deciding evidence that proves that she is a GM: When you go onto a Yellonde character and try to buddy NetheYellond, it says "Gamemaster is not available as a buddy." Go ahead and try it yourself.
Now that that's cleared away, my point was, "Why did a GM win the event? And how did such a mix up happen? Or, did the GM actually win?"

aren't those also forum names, not character names? In which case, why would someone who started as "NetheScania" pic "NetheYellond" as their forum name?
