Dev Blog: Capture the Flag

But do you need 30 people for a run anymore? Other than Empress, the rest of the bosses are solo. I suppose PB is the only boss where you can still do those 30 people parties; however, there is not much reason to kill it.

Yeah. Guess we can say that it's actually the best they can do with their current staff.

There is currently NO reason we should get our hopes up for another Masteria expansion in the future. And sadly it's probably going to stay like that.

At least they're re-opening CWK in v.101

I guess CHT fits in this to a lesser extent, since people know how to get drops now.
But even that is like 10-12 people Max.

Says who?

Btw, Empress Expeditions cap out at 18, can't have more than 3 parties.

Nexon, v.100 Patch Notes Wrote:* The portal leading inside Crimsonwood Keep has been removed while some issues with the Crimsonwood Keep party quest are looked at.

Also, (I can't find it right now) someone sent a ticket during v.100 tespia about it being closed, which got a response that they would be putting it back in in the next update.
Still trying to find that...

You should find that since what you posted doesn't in any way shape or form say or imply that it is being added back in 101.

Found it:

Then the GM lied as the next update, as of their statement, would be v.100. Additionally, "The portal leading inside Crimsonwood Keep has been removed while some issues with the Crimsonwood Keep party quest are looked at." says to me that they haven't even looked at the problem(s).

Wow, that doesn't sound like whining at all.
They took it down in this patch, so that it is fixed for the next patch. They didn't lie or mislead anyone.

That was to a tespia player in v.100. It rather obviously, and consistently with this, meant that v.101 would fix CWK.

For those who are saying that classes should be without their skills like jump quests, I find that pretty unfair. Without teleport I can't win against pallys or DK, Hero's perhaps, but as an evan fighting those classes without something to avoid them is hard. CTF is made to have people protect while others go for the flag. I find it balanced enough as it is.

Rolleyes
Except for that doesn't work in maple, no one wants to stay back, plus you get much more points for getting the flag.

Something easy to do would be: Have mages, NLs, and soon BWs to fight each other in CTF,while warriors stay in Ice Knight and doesn't need to run around the whole place. But CTF with warriors staying and others moving is still for me the best choice they could make.

Don't begin to defend their shitty pvp mode......it has absolutely no use

Just because you don't have use for it, doesn't means I don't have use for it.

PVP is a great mode in Maple Story, and I can feel on Dev Blogs post that they really had a harsh time making it, seeing that the bosses only gave them so little time to design an exclusive mode.

Still, I know I will enjoy CTF a lot as long as people plays it.

They won't, though.
It'll be crappy for everyone, unless you're a thief who lives in southern cali.

Because everyone is running around like chickens with their heads chopped off, its hard to get bp which means it sucks for bp/exp so you are wasting ur time running back and forth.

I lost my time for the past 2 years playing Maple Story, and lately I've play it because of the lols, not for exp or BP. I enjoy PVP, specially Team PVP, but in Galicia it died when Ice Knight was released. I see your point, and I understand it, but I can0t make it valid in my head thanks to me playing for fun, mostly.

I rather would have had some along the lines of king-of-the-hill where it could be a team or free for all and whichever team or person was on the spot for longest in a five minute duration would be the winner. It would be fair to pretty much all classes. So what if a theif gets there first, a warrior could stay there longer. Or you could choose to rush em off, or kill em. Just my 2 cents on the subject.
