Behold, the power of DoT.
#1
Was bored at Zak so thought I'd see how high I could get my DoT up to.

Poison Mist + Poison Breath + Elemental Composition + Fire Demon + Paralyze + Meteor Shower = Glitter

Note that Infinity doesn't effect DoT's damage, I just happened to have it active at the time I got all of the DoTs to stack and display properly.

...sweet jeebus.
btw, I don't think Celestia got disbanded.
their emblem changed, and I think leadership might have changed.

That's a lot of damage over time.

That's just disgusting. Will Jump F/P AMs be hitting the cap on DoT damage alone? :f6:

It's possible, but I don't see it happening.
DoTs aren't changed that much.
Fire Demon gets reduced by 20% and Big Bang has 110% DoT added. Extreme Magic also increases all DoT skills by 10%, which isn't much.

Mainly just the time intervals are changed, which is very much needed.

Which is why I said I don't see it happening.

So how much higher do you think your DoT would be if you had used that Ssiws Cheese?

Have you done the math to determine how many DoTs you'd need for a damage cap MistE? I'd guess 3 for over-cap waste, 2 for just below the cap; regardless, it's some smallish number. I remember the range for damage cap MistE with max DoTs being relatively small, does anyone have that number?

no clue honestly, and I'd rather not use any of the Cheese I have saved up with CWKPQ broken for the time being. All the Cheese in the FM, if there ever are any, are 10-15m+, eff that.

Well considering I've seen a few videos of some F/P mages with considerably lower ranges than mine (from what I can tell from the DoT) and they hit the cap all five times (or close to it) with ME using only 2-3 DoT skills. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

They're (apparently) fixing it in either v1.01 or v1.00, the ticket that someone got in the v1.00 tespia thread wasn't very clear.
Still think they might be revamping it while it's broken, this seems an awful long time for it to be broken for such a small thing.

How so? I think Pirates and Thieves get the short end of the stick.

Tongue

However, from what i've heard, warriors get it worst, then mages, and archers don't even have any negatives, just pure awesomeness.

Mages:
50% stance w/infinity
10% damage increase when monsters are DoT'd, stunned, frozen, paralyzed, etc.
Ignore 20% monster defense
Summons don't turn monsters elementally weak anymore
Advanced Bless
Glacial Chains
Mist Eruption

Warriors:
Power Guard gets buffed
Advanced Final Attack
A bunch of shiny new animations
Dark Impale (exact freaking copy of Phantom Blow, seriously)

Archers:
everything you could ever want, ever.

I see what you mean.
