Seems like they're preparing a new part of Time Temple.

I'm pretty sure is Freed, and I doubt that Evan will meet Mercedes soon in the story. But perhaps Afrien calls for Mercedes and tells her of the Hero Succesor.

And now that Aslemn told that, well, maybe we didn't saw the Black Mage at all, but the hooded character in the trailer was Akyrum? Seems way more possible.
If Freed is in the trailer..where is Afrien? The 12x-200 final growth of Mir cannot be Afrien. Afrien is huge, and I'm assuming was always huge due to being King of the Onyx Dragons..even when Freed was alive..Afrien was still huge. That trailer looks to be of Evan and Mercedes fighting current day Black Mage, least that's what my perception of the video was. The cosmetic of both characters is not important in my books. The dragon beside the guy would be though.

I'm not even sure what I'm typing half the time.

Because there are similarities that make sense. And fucking up doesn't just happen, there had to be an intended plotline before the later pomegranate that caused the pineapple up.

Okay, so tell me how the story point of view leads you to conclude that it is Freed and not Evan. Evidence please, not feelings.

Jesus, so agressive. Sorry if I did something wrong. Sad

I say it because it makes more sense. There is no prove indicating that Mercedes and Evan have met, or will met anytime soon. Freed was close to her, and would make sense if those 2 were the first to confront the black mage. The promo video could be showing their close relationship. Besides, if I remember right they speak in the full version. Maybe we could clear all of this is someone could translate what they say to each other.

It is Freed and Afrien. The whole Mercedes promo is shown right when you create the character. After the huge bang at the end, Mercedes wakes up beside the two she was fighting with. Their names are Freed and Afrien, it's written right underneath them.

I think that the length of 9th and 10th groth Mir should be as big as Afrien, just that we don't want a Dragon that BIG following us all the time, right? From everything, I would say that Mir is indeed as big as Afrien, just that for playing purposes he isn't THAT big.

Well that settles that.

So...
Mir is big.
He just isn't when you're playing with him.
That makes total sense.

Haseo Wrote:Then why is the cash shop set that's featured in the trailer and the Evan release poster called the Evan set and not the Freed set? There's another robe that matches Freed's in the JMs cash shop and is called the Dragon Master robe.

Also, it would make no sense for Nexon to feature Freud as the main foreground image in an Evan class release poster.

Because the name of the present hero is Evan, not Freud. Have you seen the G-Star Conference last year? :o
They showed the same screen Viaje posted, and said that Aran was the first hero, Freud was the second, and Evan is his sucessor.

There's no logic in Mercedes meeting with Evan when she sleeps for many years, and that's enough for the whole maple world change. That cutscene is in the time the Heroes are about to fight the Black Mage, Evan wasn't even born since he is the PRESENT hero.

The level 200 medal for them states it, Hero's SUCESSOR. He's not the hero, he's a boy that is as pure of heart as Freed, and that found the egg and now trains alongside the child of Afrien.

You know, it's better for you to get based on such things, than just getting restricted to the hair colour. :x

I'm not being aggressive, I just want something more reliable than opinion to base conclusions off of. I have provided a wealth of information to prove my point, and I would appreciate it if you would base yours off of something more than a feelings and could-bes.

Mir is as big as Afrien, and as I said avobe, only for playing purposes his lenght is reduced. Afterall, Mir is the new King of the Onyx dragons.

I didn't based it on feelings. What feelings could I have towards that? It's more of common sense to think that the one fighting is Freed, the one and only, and that the whole storyline suggests so. I agree with aslemn.

Tis why I always Ctrl + C before posting anything anywher.

Haseo Wrote:Actually, it does. It's the reason why there is a female and a male version of the trailer. You see it when you create a Demon Slayer in KMS. It's part of the tutorial, just after DSlayer tries to vent on Ark-something-snake guy for the death of his sister. The door opens, DSlayer goes in, performs the epic pomegranate and falcon punch in the trailer, ends up being beaten and sealed in an egg for as long as Aran was encased in ice, and then breaks out of it.
My mistake.
I don't play KMS, so I was just going on what blogs and people here have said.
People keep referring to it as a promo video. I didn't realize it was actually in-game.

aslemn Wrote:The promo art you showed up shows Freud, not Evan. See the girl next to him in the first image?
As you posted an image of the player being transformed into Freud, you should also take a look at the level 70 quest for Evans.

You go to the lost cave in Rien, and then Afrien says he will show you what happened in the past. If you're a female Evan, you'll be transformed in the past Hero, the female version of Freud, that would fit the story when Mercedes is a male character.
The girl in your screenshot IS the girl Hero, meaning the other guy is the male hero. Freed's blonde, but has a light brown hair colour in that trailer, although inconsistent, Evan's hair is dark brown.

Make a new evan character, and pay attention to the cutscenes, and the images of the boy and girl. The girl has a VERY different hair compared to the first image, and the boy has a dark brown hair.
The promo image you posted shows the Hero, the master of Afrien, in both male and female forms.
I have looked at the level 70 quest for Evan. That is my Evan in the picture, after all.
The hair color in the trailer is far more like Evan's than Freud's.

Yeah, the female hair is not that different from that promo image.

aslemn Wrote:Really, people need to stop trying to assume things without reading, or looking at it in game. You know, those videos can be more than just random ass action for new characters.
How beautifully arrogant.
Of course, it's called for seeing as only you are wise enough to read.

No, the point was, why is Freed in the trailer wearing the Evan set? And why does Afrien have Mir's head symbol instead of his own, which he's always featured with? Evan is Freed's successor, so why does the Freed in the trailer look like Evan, rather than Evan growing to look like the Freed at the end of Freed's life (in the Mercedes tutorial)? The whole thing is full of contradictions if you look at it from that point of view.

-sighs-

Never mind, there goes Nexon pineappling up logic in general again. HighOnMushrooms has made a fair point, assuming that the causality between the trailer and the Mercedes trailer holds true.

Eliseo Wrote:I didn't based it on feelings. What feelings could I have towards that? It's more of common sense to think that the one fighting is Freed, the one and only, and that the whole storyline suggests so. I agree with aslemn.

Evan's always been hyped as Freed's successor, and he is one of the new heroes, so it would also be common sense for him to wind up fighting the Black Mage.

It's not just the hair color though, it's: the hair color, his entire outfit, and the dragon's size. Which all point to it being Evan and Mir in the trailer.

Plus I think if Nexon wanted Evan and Freud to look similar, they would've made them look similar from the beginning.
I doubt they'd spend all that time on animating that trailer just to accidentally mess up on every single detail they could possibly mess up on.

EDIT: @Below: Evan's still alive and kicking, he has all the time in the world to meet the other heroes and get to know them before the Black Mage's revival.

That video is of the past, because there's a scene where Freed is talking about the "other heroes" as if he knows them closely -- something that Evan wouldn't have gotten the chance to do.

It also is played before the Mercedes tutorial starts, so it's sorta safe to assume that it's what happens before it...I think the inconsistency with dragon size is just that they couldn't have the gigantic dragon being in the video, it would pretty much eliminate space for any other character.

So we're just gonna ignore the fact that the video clearly takes place in the Temple of Time?

Being shown right after you create the character doesn't necessarily indicate a chain of events.
They shoved a TV commercial into their game.

It is not THAT temple of time. It's most likely a new zone, as seeing that the monster seem to be different and the reaveling of the new gate. We can only wait and see to confirm this, but the monsters differences already prove my point.

Temple of Time is pretty much floating right on top of Leafre, where they end up...

Demon Slayer does attack the Black Mage too. Right before he's knocked out and sealed in an energy draining machine in Leben.

Like Viaje says, putting the trailer in front of the tutorial implies causality, but doesn't always make it a certainty.

Conversely, having Freed and Afrien's names in the Mercedes tutorial doesn't mean that the people in the trailer were Freed and Afrien.

What are these monster differences of which you speak?
The red bull that is clearly Lyka?
The red decorated suites of armor that are clearly Chief Oblivions?

Oh, I'm aware.
I was wondering who would be first to suggest that they could have possibly survived that fall.

Well, if you fly downwards to the bottom of the travel map that spans the distance between Leafre and ToT, you automatically untransform from your dragon morph and drop.... all the way to Leafre.

And survive.

We're assuming that Maple physics is constant, though.

Clearly the dragon bros didn't, lol.
I'm just wondering, if you think it's Evan, how would he be fighting the black mage if nobody knows exactly how to get to the black mage at this point in present time.
