They didn't change it... its range is fairly awful in regular PvP. That is to say that moving targets are a peach.
There is no real 'defense'. The game is basically:
- Grab enemy's flag.
- Kill enemy flag-holder (if they've gotten the flag by this point).
- Return flag.
I find Flying Assaulter to be fairly slow, and this is a mode where you tend not to want to kick people in the direction you're going.
...why do I always end up having arguments with you?
I'm guessing you don't play a DB normally, do you?
I find CoH fairly easy to use and has a decent range. Only weird thing is when people downjump while I'm using it, and it doesn't pull them.
FA them away from you, pretty easy. Also can knock them down platforms.
I play PvP almost exclusively on my DB, so I know most of the tricks.

What the pineapple is root? Use English.
Is it the killing blow or the most damage?

Why do you have such a knack for presumptions?
I do have a DB in non-Tespia who is actually my favorite character to PvP on, so I'm quite familiar with them.
In fact, the only reason I can even competently control my Shadower in Tespia is because of my DB experience.
CoH tends to not do crap if the enemy is moving away from you. Assassinate is fairly similar.
I'll say it again: there is really no point to rushing people away from you in CtF.

Cards are personal. If I kill a monster and a card drops, you can't see it.
Cards are one-of-a-kind. If you've got a card, it will never drop again.
All of a sudden that doesn't sound as fun as the old Monster Book.

Root is indeed the 'killing blow'.

The high drop rate is worse but keeping it personal is AWESOME. pineapple leechers.

I don't know really... I don't know how it really works. I think it's most damage. The Japanese just call it root (which makes it easier to understand for someone that doesn't understand it, like myself). I THINK it's most damage going by what I've encountered with fighting multiple bosses with Dennis and he getting cards and I don't when I deal the final hit (he and his over-potentialed ass).

Only if you liked killing monsters for possibly over 3 weeks to collect the cards. If you liked doing that that's fine, but most people don't really want to sit at a computer for days trying to get something like that.
