The Ice Knight arrives on July 27, 2011!

What is Ice Knight?
Upon entering Ice Knight mode through Battle Square, one player will be chosen at random to be the Ice Knight. The remaining players are placed on the same team to challenge the Ice Knight. Ten players are required to initiate Ice Knight mode.

Become the Ice Knight!
If you are chosen as the Ice Knight, you will be given immense power. Your strength will prevent the other players from knocking you back, and you will be able to perform a double jump that covers great distances.

As the Ice Knight attacks its enemies, the Ice Gauge will grow, represented by a number of slots. As the Ice Gauge fills up, the Ice Knightcan perform a variety of devastating skills:

Ice Chop Swing your frosty axe to attack multiple enemies and knock them back. Cost: 5 slots.
Ice Smash Raise your sword to attack and freeze many foes. Cost: 20 slots.
Ice Tempest Cast an ice storm as an area-of-effect for continuous damage. Cost: 40 slots.
Ice Panic Have a chance to transform one or more enemies into snails. Cost: 60 slots.

Challengers
Can you defeat the ferocious Ice Knight? To succeed, you must combine your strength up to 9 players can band together and share HP & MP pots to take on the Ice Knight. But, you must be quick! If after 10 minutes the Ice Knight still lives, then you have failed.

It's impossible to kill the Ice Knight, correct?

A battle for survival huh? sounds fun.

It's an okay mode. It's not as exciting as other PvP modes... unless you become the Ice Knight yourself. xd

Nah it's possible. This mode gives the most BP anyway so people will be killing it.

Can't you just tell the ice knight to stand still and not attack, while everyone else can spam attacks on him, earning themselves massive amounts of BP?

No, just be the ice knight.
There was something in KMS, you could get a medal for it. There was a NPC of the IK in town, and you got a quest at a certain time, and you had to become the IK, and then you had to come back and complete the quest, thereby getting the medal. Stats were crap, however.

It's not in Henesys yet, but I remember seeing it in Tespia near Henesys Market entrance.

So, get a group of 10 and make a pact that the Ice Knight will bend over backwards for everyone else to...

Yes. A lot. In KMS, you get insulted as the ice knight if you even do something.

Just freaking perfect. We get something that wouldn't be anything like CPQ and their Trade Wins and this comes and kills it. I know what I'm going to do if I was Ice Knight.

If this becomes common practice i'll have more reason to play maplestory than i have in years.

I can already tell im never going to get tired of that K.O. animation.
