PVP Unbalanced much?

Okay, im a 160 DB and there is something up with warriors and mages. They are the only class I have a hard time killing and I don't mean skill wise because they don't require as much skill as DB, but its the fact that when I hit them, I do barely any damage, and EACH hit they do to me takes off A CHUNK of my health like this |--| much health and thats ALOT considering both of them have high hp (mages are basically like wariors with magic guard). While i only do half of that and have only HALF as much hp as them.

Specifically at the drk knight, last night i was trying to 1v1 a lower lvl 15x dark knight and heres how it went. It was the beginning of a battle, only 4 ppl and it was basicaly 1v1 for the four of us and we all had full hp. i got full item buffs shield/atkup/haste as i jumped down first. I first landed final cut on him, then used maxed disorder (-20% def -10% atk) on him. Then I used COH to start off and then start PB'ing. I have max pb and like + 5 battle attack. I couldnt even take him down to half health, all he did was spam his triple strike attack (the purple one).

Its not like DBs can hit ppl without getting hit if someones specifically targeting you. I casted every single debuff i could on him already. Most dark knights I fought were like that.

Soo whats up with that? Thieves basically CANNOT win against warriors are mages? Is that how its "intended"? To only cheap shot them when they are low health?

Its a bit better with mages, I can manage to kill them once i get disorder or item buff. But they still take me to almost no health. But the better mages... are pretty hard to beat as a good DB.

I dont know if anyone else has noticed by now either but most match ups
consists up warriors fighting mages, and then thieves fighting bowmans. Its like nexon intended class weaknesses.

But still... a thief class "SHOULD" be able to overcome a class they are weak against with skill in a fair 1v1 uninterrupted battle. However... that is not the case. The stats of a warrior are just so stacked against u. And its not like u can run around and keep cheap shotting him, if the warrior is skilled he'll still land a hit on u when u get close. Unlike thieves in other games that can stand up to warriors in their own way.

IS it just the base stats of a drk in pvp? Or does he have some kind of godly gear? Do equips matter? (not pots but like weapon atk and such) o.O?

Don't stand in front of them spamming your attacks. You're the most mobile class in the game, abuse it and you'll deal with DKs fine.

Warriors are meant to be the tanks of the game, trying to outtank them fails and you're surprised by this?

Don't spam phantom blow, make use of all your skills, in particular your movement skills like slash storm/bloody storm, flying assaulter, as well as phantom blow.

Just as Loz stated you should work with mobility since it's your major strongpoint. I don't have any problems anymore against warriors like I initially did(Drks) I just keep moving and spam my TT and Dark Flare if they don't want me to move so at least I get them to take damage along with me.

Edit: As far as mobility goes DBs outclass NLs.

What? I've killed many Warriors and Mages with my Bandit. Warriors are the easiest to kill, I just Flash Jump back and forth around them and then strike every now and then. I try to not stay still, in front of them, then when their health is low, they start running away and I manage to catch them with Assaulter and just kill them. Mages are more of a problem, especially with their Teleport and AoE skills, I try to be more cautious.

And how exactly should I abuse it? Keep using blood storm over and over? Because a good warrior can still get a hit in. I-frames are crap here. Even flying assaultuer gets hit. Not to mention ALL those attacks are weak compared to PB.

No, im saying thieves should be able to take out tanks using their mobile style but this is not the case. The stats are too stacked.

It doesn't work, i usually alternate PB --> pb --> BS --> jump back pb --> FABS and so on, but warriors have still hit me when i got near him and thats all it takes 1 hit for him to do SO much more damage then my barrage of combos. I did this against another drk knight and i took off even less health then just spamming pb on the drk in my post.

Are u pre 4th job? Because it may be different in gladiator. But it sounds like you didn't fight a "good" warrior then. The warriors I fought were pro, yea i flash jump and PB, but they still hit me whe ni land my hit.

Theoretically if u have a master db vs a master drk, all the drk needs to do is land hits on u, and it will be worth more than double your hits. Its more about the stats that are unfair. Even when drks have like a pinch of health left, it takes 3-4 PB's to kill them and even then if u just try to exchange blows with them they might win. And if u try to jump back and fourth and not him them, they are just going to grab the heart and heal.

Range isn't as good of an option for me in a laggy environment. The main point is use speed to your advantage.

They are not, and the only possible reason you could be having such problem is you're doing it wrong. So the best method isn't coming to you in 1 game? Practice. Thats all there is to it. It took time for me to work out a good way to move around and use skills in pvp. You also need to adjust for what the other person is doing, because, surprise, this isn't like the rest of the game, the other person can think too.

Theres nothing else to it, I don't have more trouble with warriors than I do any other class. Just practice more.

Flash Jump around. CoH when it's off CD. Stick in PBs when they're facing the wrong direction.

And you guys talk like warriors are stupid or something. Can u honestly say you can jump around and not get hit and hit them 100% of the time? Because even if u can do it 50% of the time, thats all it takes, 50% of their hits to take u out as a thief class with low hp.

I don't know about your guys's judgement on pvp skill but, i can tell if a warrior sucks or not. Yea i've taken out TONS of drks too before, they just sit there and spam one skill when i go behind them and they'll still be facing the wrong way. Or they'll change direciton and ill go behind them again.

But against a good warrior, its much harder to not get hit because he'll hit u. Hes not afraid of getting hit by you, so he'll time it on the delays when u atk, to counter attack u.

Well GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE THEN SHERLOCK OF HOW U BEAT A WARRIOR!?!? What did he do? What did u do? Describe me a battle you won. Because unless you describe what happened, you were probably fighting freaking NUB warriors.

Im not saying i cant defeat any warriors either, but i can't beat the best ones.

Meaning WARRIOR > THIEF class in general. IF a master thief player cannot beat a master warrior.

No doubt, each warrior is different but there is only SO many styles for a warrior (and for maple in general actually since its not that advanced of a pvp system). But we can still speculate the what if's, what happens if a warrior charges u and does then a thief could Bs behind them but then what if the warrior turns immiedtely and hits him, and so on.

And my main point is basically unless you are 100% master at db and can evade all of a pro warriors hits and take him down, warirors are basically > thieves and its unbalanced. Unless you believe thieves shouldn't be able to take down warriors, or that they can only cheap shot them when they are super low health.

Everyone's already told you how to win as a DB, and as any other class - don't spam your damn skills.

only imbalance I see in PvP are the no delay hackers I run into.

edit: I still owned that Dual Blade and got first place.

Most people in this topic are saying that as a Thief, they've beaten many Warriors. Except the Topic Starter.
