Wow...really? This was a mistake? LOL! T_T

My impression of Nexon just went down the crapper (again).

Had they kept this (and made it long-term drops too) and finally cleaned up the economy from the hackers, then it wouldn't be so bad at all. But now hackers are just going to get their hands on these scrolls and dupe hack the hell out of them and get rich off hard-working legits again.

I hate when they test this s'hit on the official without actually telling us that it was intentional. Makes it a million times harder to distinguish actual glitches from something that was intentional.

Case and point: 50% pinks "glitch" and their "abusers".

Didn't EMS's PMDs drop this stuff from regular minidungeon stuff though? (skeles, newties, etc) There couldn't have been much copy paste involved because no foreign PMD event had these drops from these mobs.

If the GM scrolls dropping was ACTUALLY unintended, i'm going to stick with the "they meant to have them drop 60/10%s and wrote the itemID off by 1 thus making them drop" theory.

They never mentioned scrolls being dropped, so therefore they just copied the droplist from eMS (who also had scrolls, chairs and those weapons dropping) and then forgetting to remove the scrolls.

Sigh, I'm seriously annoyed by the fact that they can't code for fùcking shìt. I'm an intermediate and I could basically script everything they mess up so much better. Only if they'd hire people who have the same attitude as me, who want to fix simple typos and bugs to make the game so much smoother.

The funniest thing about this is the sooner into the event nexon changes this, the more hackers gain from it.

Scamming, while looked down upon by certain people, is perfectly fair-play by maple standards. These people willingly bought, with their own money scrolls they thought were something else, however had they taken 5 seconds to look at the scroll instead of trusting a total stranger like an idiot, they wouldn't be at a loss. Scamming, ehhhhhh, more like teaching a few people a lesson.

This is how I understood Hime's post as well. Nexon actually listened to all the high-and-mighty QQ-ing how it was now too easy for the rabble to catch up to them.

OR: Maybe they had second thoughts that the event might be a net loss of revenue in the long run.

What's better than upturning an economy by releasing broken scrolls at an unprecedented rate?
Making those scrolls no longer available after the damage has already been done, thereby making it worse for anyone who didn't take advantage of the questionable 'glitch'!

I will be pissed if they wipe the scrolls though. I had two 1H Sword scrolls that I got before the event that I was waiting to use.

They tried to cheat me but i won in that case both of us were scammers so in terms of morality i didnt nothing wrong because i stole from a thief. And yeah i still think that this is the meaning of merchanting in MS because when you buy something cheap in the stores becuase someone missed a 9 or 0 in the value you are abussing some human qualities.

Please don't try to justify scamming. It's one thing to buy a scroll from desire for power (game-breaking or not is subjective to context. e.g. had Nexon allowed these scrolls to stay and released better scrolls in the future, then it would not be game breaking), but it's another thing to attempt to deceive another person through exploiting their mentality.

They never miss a chance to make their events sounds 10x as good as they are, so why would they hide the scrolls while advertising worthless level 35-64 maple weapons? They did not intend this, and they did not know it was happening until they read it on their forums (or wherever), nearly two days after it started.

Of course -Hime- can't say, "oops, we messed up sooooo bad", so they present it as "we wanted to be nice to you but due to feedback decided it wasn't wise". Ah well, I suppose 99% of the community swallow that, hook, line, and sinker.
