They are supposed to be weaker than GMS but they take her down withsuch ease. Also why is it necessary to blank out their characters and cover their info? You would think the people attaining such an accomplishment would want some fame among all MS players around the world. Maybe they are glitching; there could be a glitch that makes makes her vulnerable and easy to kill and they are abusing it. That would explain why they don't provide any info on their strategy, because maybe they aren't using any at all.

Suddendly JMS players' biggest accomplishment starts to crumble Rolleyes

Strategy can always overtake raw power. Remember that. There are ultra-washed and ultra-powerful characters in JMS, made with the intent of being able to survive in Neo Tokyo. That, coupled with strategy, definitely makes this possible.

I'm not saying it isn't possible. I'm saying that the fact that they cover their characters and hide their names, plus the lack of info on how they kill her, the fact that they killed her 2 days after release and already killed her even faster than before, the fact that THIS IS MS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, a game very vulnerable to hacks and exploits and so on, makes me supect they could be hacking to kill her or abusing a glitch. Just like people abuse that agro glitch that keeps Zakum and HT from attacking the whole run.

-The Japanese are extremely cautious about everything. They censor their names and their names of their friends, guild members, etc. so people don't harass them or anything like that. The Japanese are very strict on privacy.

-The JPs are very strict against hacking. You really wouldn't believe how far they would go to even out KSers, scammers, etc. If you were to do the slightest thing wrong in JMS, you would be super megaphoned for days until it was known server-wide that you were a rotten apple and then absolutey no one would have anything to do with you.

I repeat: JMS is the best MS.
Compare this with GMS, I could write a whole paragraph consisting of accepted hacked weapons, obvious high levels with hacker sides, petty D/Cers, lack of cooperation, etc. but I will sum it all up with lolGMS.

I thought you said in that other thread suggesting using books and scrolls as meso sink that JMS's ecconomy is as pomegranatety as GMS is. For that I thought it has a big ammount of hackers as we do.

Censoring their igns is a good idea to avoid any kind of dc hack or w/e.

It's namely that the chinese are fucking amazing hackers. For everyone you kill, there's probably two more that will re-appear. That.. and as a certain article pointed out, that's what prisoners in china do in their night hours: forced to gold farm.

Yes and this exact stereotypical secretiveness and "honor code" has kept everyone honest in the past throughout all of Japans history. (Wait, nope.)

There is plenty of room for suspicion here and "No guise it's just how it works in Japan, if someone breaks the honor code their life will be hell forever with no way of escaping it" Doesn't actually dispel it. Especially for anyone familiar of the downsides of this exact system. There are many things admirable about Japanese society culture and history. Overt secrecy just isn't one of them.

Sumo anyone?

ShiKage Wrote:Chinese hackers.

This again? You understand their can't be a thriving independent market of "Chinese" hackers playing the game for real world profits right? THEY HAVE BUYERS. And the distinction of them being specifically "Chinese" part is (still) just unnecessary.

So Japanese players are totally against hackers but they don't mind purchasing from them? :f3

There must be a market if there are so many chinese hackers trying to profit in JMS. Not everyone must be legit, which brings me back to the point maybe those guys aren't legit.

Anyway i'm just saying, maybe, just maybe, those ones aren't legit players.

Edit: you above, how dare you ninja me with an edit? D:

As for not wanting to be targetted by dc hackers, that's actually not a very valid excuse, as finding out who lead an Empress run should be clear through questions in the appropriate channels, as well as just looking at the damned shop lol. It wouldn't be hard to find out who killed her. I'm just as confused about why they hid their ign's as the next curious guy.

I'm not saying these guys are hackers, but that 180k is a very impressive number, coming from someone that's done high level bosses like pink bean and empress dozens of times. I just wanna know their strategy, knowing what dropped would also be nice (dream stone?).

Yes, pies are summoned in Empress in GMS. Idk which mob summons them, but I have seen pies, and they should be in that vid that Ang put up on youtube and Marty linked to.

They are Chinese and they are hackers. Therefore, they are Chinese hackers. I don't care what way you try to justify it, that's what they are.

@White : Well, duh. Of course the guy's shop wouldn't be censored, since you can see his character information on his blog. He censored everyone else out of courtesy.

I know what hes talking about. It's been discussed more than once.

No, I already illustrated how this is a premature conclusion from you. And how you could clarify exactly what you mean by Chinese hackers in many other terms. You've been told that you sort of offend people with the misnomer and it has no basis for it's accuracy yet you insist on it's use? It actually means less to GMS players than if you used a more universally descriptive term for the exact behavior (i.e. gold farming bots, etc), which is how you determine a "Chinese hacker". Not by actually finding out that they are in fact, Chinese. It's the name you've given them and it's how you relate them to us. My complaint is that it is a poor relation. It doesn't tell us anything about what exactly they are doing. They could be Chinese, hell they could all be Chinese, and it wouldn't change that. Chinese hacker doesn't mean anything to us. It doesn't actually clarify anything about these hackers. It only builds a stereotype. Personally i'm curious as to the specifics of the behavior but I get from you is the repeated insistence that they are chinese and doing chinese-esq hacking with the sole basis seemingly being kind of weak anecdotes.

White Wrote:As for lacking coordination, I assure you that most GMS servers have at least one group of highly coordinated runners. It's just that most of the time that group isn't running around bragging to everyone, so they aren't quite as visible as a group of loud mouths that fail more than they succeed.

Most of the time the group hides the fact that they go, when they go, and who goes because otherwise you get spam dc hacked.

Bello would have beat her on day two if she would have summoned her instructors so she would quit healing back to 50%. Took her down to 15% like 6 times and got bored.

octopusprime Wrote:Overt secrecy just isn't one of them.

A ninja (忍者?) or shinobi (忍び?) was a covert agent or mercenary of feudal Japan specializing in unorthodox arts of war.

They travelled in disguise to other territories to judge the situation of the enemy, they would inveigle their way into the midst of the enemy to discover gaps, and enter enemy castles to set them on fire, and carried out assassinations, arriving in secret

also, why is everyone now sounding like if the only way they achieved it is hacks?

Is d/c hacking even an issue there? If it isn't they have no reason to withhold information. Even if they did we will beat it eventually. Being so secretive is just a d'ick move. Especially since they taped the PB kill.

Because if KMS and GMS haven't beaten it by now, it's obviously not possible, right?

@Takebacker : First off, the crew who beat Pink Bean first was not only a different group, but a group in a completely different server.

Like I said, the Japanese are very private. They don't like giving out names of people unless those people give explicit permission to have their information given out. And no, we have no disconnect hack issues here.

If the players in the Japanese community wanted to know who those people were, they could probably easily ask through the many social JMS websites that are around. They can easily ask there, and then the screenshots won't have their names to be targeted by hacks and what not. These hackers aren't looking through the community threads and what not, and easily could have all that information there if people really wanted it. Blanking out your names on some screenshots happens all the time, so saying that they are hackers simply because of that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.

I've seen plenty of KMS and GMS pictures that do exactly the same on "legit" players and no one goes out on them. I've seen videos that are 5 seconds long, just show a kill of a boss, and that's it, and yet no one seems to go crazy about them being hackers there.

The only reason you guys are so set on these guys being hackers is simply because you can't do what they did, even though you have a ton of crap that JMS doesn't. Didn't JMS beat PB first too? Remember how that was thought to be just as impossible? Yeah...

Teamwork is above everything. I know for a fact that Japanese players are the kings of teamwork related situations. I've been playing Monster Hunter Frontier for over a year, and I can say with absolute certainty that the Japanese players come up with the craziest strategies that you would never think would work, would be possible, or even thought of at all. They can get things done in MHF in a quarter of the time your best friends were able to. It's no surprise that they are the first to beat the Empress. None.
