Not really interested. I dont like flailing my Wiimote to attack in Twilight Princess so having to do that with precision will just be more bleh.

Either way, just get the zelda bundle thats going to come with the golden wiimote+. Or did you all forget that too?

Never once did Ninty say it was a mandatory item needed to play the game. Time and time again they've always said "It uses Wii Motion+". I must have missed the memo in where "Use" has the same definition of "Mandatory" / "Required".

You use clubs in golf.
You use flour in cookies.
You use oil in an engine.

You use Playstation Move to play LBP, oh wait, IT'S OPTIONAL!

Point is those things arnt, along with many other examples. If you take it as optional then have fun with your killed engine, throwing a golf ball, and not cookies.

Except LBP probably wasn't designed around the Playstation Move. It's very obvious Skyward Sword was designed around the Wiimotion+. It's impossible to get the amount of precision in SS with just a regular Wii Remote.

I’m really surprised people didn’t catch on to the fact that I would require it. They’ve talked up so much how things like combat are now a puzzle etc requiring you to slash in specific directions. The game would not be possible without it. They would need to make two versions of the game.

Is the bundle going to cost $80+? The point is that I'm trying to avoid spending more than $70 on this. I don't spend that much on ANYTHING. Even a brand new PS3 game.

Also Berzerk: NOT EVERYONE LIVES IN AMERICA. Wii motion plus here is $25. After taxes the whole thing will come out to around $85

No one should have to buy a useless accessory to play a game. Ever. Especially on a console that they've given up on. If I could see any future use for the wii motion plus it would not be a problem but Nintendo has definitively said "we're done with the Wii!" which means the Wii Motion Plus will basically only function with this game and the few others that are already out and garbage. Actually I'm going to go off on you a little more and just call you a retard even if I get an infraction because that is a seriously retarded thing to say. $25 is a lot to many, many people. People don't have that much money to waste on something with effectively no other use than for that one game. If you have money pouring out of your ass than good for you, but expecting anyone else to be okay with wasting that much money on what is effectively a doorstop after you finish the game is beyond moronic. And calling people "cheap ass[es]" for being smart with their money is ignorant as pomegranate.

Also you can't even guarantee it will be a great game, which makes your statement that much more dumb. Zelda games are never that special, though they're okay. Twilight Princess was a huge let down, and the last THREE Zelda games have all been "eh" at best. OoT remake, Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass being the others. Expecting greatness after a roll of failures is delusional. I expect a decent game. A game worth $50. And I'm willing to pay $50 for it. Not more. Especially considering I hate motion control as is.

Also also also to everyone saying "use = require" what the pineapple. Especially you, Nalek. Use is NOT, absolutely NOT synonymous with require. You can supplement things you USE with other things in cooking, and many other things in life. And to those of you saying "well since this game is dependent on motion control..." I say this

THE WIIMOTE IS FOR MOTION CONTROL ITSELF. That doesn't make it obvious in any way that the gimmicky extension would be a necessity.

It's been so long since I've even played Wii but I think my brother bought the motionplus things a while ago when they first came out. I guess I'm safe.

Yes, because the Wii Motion Plus has absolutely zero use for the Wii U, which uses all Wii accessories. >_>

Prove it will. Go find me articles from developers talking about their hopes for the Wii U and how they intend to make great use of the motion plus. If no developer wants to use it NOW, then they sure as hell aren't going to want to use it when the Wii U hits.

Ugh... Seriously... Sarah, you set your user title to "argues with morons" after arguing people people over things. Now you go and pull this?

You're making unsubstantiated claims and I'm asking for proof. That's not arguing, that's a discussion. You're the one who started arguing in this thread by claiming that everyone who doesn't know this was a requirement is an idiot and that everyone should be okay with this purchase because we MAY see some future titles that use it but you're unwilling to provide proof, instead choosing cop-outs and to just attack me in general. This is a discussion, not an argument. You made a claim, either back it up or admit you have no idea what you're talking about.

Since I'm demanding proof from you, I'll provide proof of my claim that no one wants to use it.

Here's a list of wii games that use it:

http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Motion_Plus...games_list

Here's a list of wii games total:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Wii_games

That's a PRETTY BIG discrepancy

And, as you can see, most of the games that use it have kept it completely optional. That's because they know it's not a big seller and that will actually hurt their game sales by attempting to force people to use it. This sort of seems like a move by Nintendo to get people to buy it, though it could actually be necessary given the level of movement required. Either way, if anyone can pull it off with any game it's Nintendo with Zelda, but I'm not sold, unless of course that bundle that Lozmaster mentioned is cheap.

Come on, seriously, Sarah. Please... For the sake of continuing to use the term "moron" toward people, please consider the fact that Nintendo has completely stopped the production of original Wii Remotes and are now only producing Wii Remote Plus controllers. I do not think they would piss that production down the drain and develop games for the Wii U that will not make use of that product which they put so much money into. They would not go and say, "oh, we're scrapping the Wii Remote Plus idea and going back to the basic Wii Remote motion control ability."

That would be a seriously stupid thing to do for Nintendo. Why would they go back to basic when the newer is better?

Hopefully Nintendo will lower the price before the official release or give a special sale associated with the bundle. Hell, I hope the just give it to us free.

Did I call you a moron? No. I called the guy calling people cheap asses for not willingly dishing out $25 for an unproven "great" game and currently useless piece of hardware a moron. It had nothing to do with you.

Nintendo didn't really have a choice but to start including motion plus into new wiimotes after releasing it. You can't say "we can make this hardware better" and then chose not to include it in future updates, haha. That would really make people mad. But developers just don't want to use it, that has nothing to do with Nintendo and they don't really have any control over it. Just because it's there doesn't mean it will be used. And there are still millions of people who bought wii on launch who don't have the wii motion plus, or people who have bought second hand, etc etc. and have never had any reason to. I mean, even in this thread it is pretty evident that there are many people without the accessory or who happen to have it but wouldn't otherwise if a sibling/new controller didn't come with it.

I mean, for example, the Playstation sixaxis is in EVERY controller but is very, very, very rarely used.

Lamato Wrote:Hopefully Nintendo will lower the price before the official release or give a special sale associated with the bundle. Hell, I hope the just give it to us free.

Eh, free is a lot to ask. I wouldn't mind paying $10 for it, but anything more is absurd. $10 for motion plus would put the game at the price of any other console game and therefore not worth complaining about (unless you bought the wii because the games are cheaper.)

$70 after taxes isn't bad. Anything beyond that is absolutely too much to ask though, and millions of people don't have that accessory.

Actually, they confirmed a pretty good while ago that Skyward Sword would -require- Motion+. ''Require'', not ''use''.

I forgot when they stated this however, but they definitely said it, and they said it again during this years E3 as well.

Is anyone not really looking forward to another Zelda game? I've been playing the series since the SNES days and I'm not all that excited about the same rehashed story with barely improved gameplay. I'm not going to pass on it for sure yet, but I'm definitely not shelling out extra money for another controller just because it has the Zelda brand on it.
