Looking forward to Skyward Sword?

Better make sure you own Motion Plus or you can't play it.

Game now costs around $100 after taxes. Thanks Nintendo.

The fact that this requires motion plus surely isn’t news?

I don’t think that’s a great demo it seems very unresponsive. I’ve seen other videos where it’s been much more responsive.

The fact that it REQUIRES motion plus is news. Why the pineapple should I need to buy a useless accessory just to play one game? Especially a useless accessory that costs $25 before taxes.

Pretty sure I'm going to skip this because no Zelda game is worth $80 - $100

Looks like I'll have to buy ANOTHER gimmicky add-on for the gimmicky console.

My faith in nintendo is slowly lowering. At least, on the console front.

I thought they told us it used it at E3. I might have took "it uses this" as "it requires this", so this isn't a shock.

All zelda games are awesome so i'm still getting this one.

$17 + $50 = $67 before taxes. $72.50 with 8% sales tax. Honestly, you guys are babies. It's only $7 more than an Xbox 360 or PS3 game with taxes. I'll be getting it because it'll be a solid game with quite a few hours of play time.

I've had Wii Motion Plus since Red Steel 2 came out.

Whoo~?

Oh, yeah... and what Steve said is true. We've known that The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword uses Wii Motion plus since it was announced at E3 LAST YEAR. Anyone who didn't know that by now is an idiot, because it was stated CLEARLY. In fact, that's the sole reason I got it and Red Steel 2.

We've had over a year in advance with warning that it requires Wii Motion Plus, so if you didn't prepare, tough.

There's a difference between "It uses XYZ" and "It REQUIRES XYZ", so it's misleading.

No, it's not. In the video game world, if it makes use of something, it's more than likely it'll require that to play, unless it's just some side gimmick like the Tingle Turner on Wind Waker.

Of course it's misleading. Need I remind you that LBP USES the "Playstation Move", yet it's NOT REQUIRED to play the game. It's absolutely misleading, and there's a difference.

It was stated when the game was originally released that Skyward Sword would require Wii Motion Plus. That's the entire reason why the game relies on motion sensor technology. You can't do that kind of stuff with the regular Wii Mote.

Seriously... Southperry, I'm surprised.

Ugh..

No thanks anymore.. (And I really wanted this game)

I've always thought that they originally said that it'd require MotionPlus in the first place, so this isn't really news to me.

What does bug me is that they're trying to sell us an extra accessory for a console that Nintendo has essentially given up on with what's going to be what will probably one of the last good new games for it.

I'm amazed that people are somehow surprised by this fact. It's been stated tens, if not hundreds of times that its wiimotion+ only since e3 2 years ago, at the very least.

Either way, just get the zelda bundle thats going to come with the golden wiimote+. Or did you all forget that too?

Isn't that only a pre-order bonus (or have they not released the details of that yet)? I'm probably going to try to get that as well, since I'm a nerd for Zelda collector items. xD

It's going to be bundled with skyward sword as well as sold seperatly. At least, thats what they said at e3

Well at least Motion Plus isn't so bulky. When I first heard of it I thought it would be some huge clunky add on. The price seems a bit high just to play a Zelda game, but I might go ahead and suck it up.
