looks like no DAR
Worthyness Wrote:Nah if you can do it 3 times over, save 1 set to make your own, then profit off the ores as people panic trying to get ores when the quest activates Big Grin You only really need 1 anyway right?

I only need one, and my plan was to abuse those reset coupons and make 3, then store 1 on a mule for a long long time, sell one right off the bat for billions and billions, and wear one. But now, there's....really no point to have the equivalent to nearly 1200 gold plates and topazs. I'm not going to drop the ores, but I don't see myself using them for anything so they'll just be stored on a cannoneer mule after those come out (LF> extended inv space).

Event items for the rich shouldn't exist. I might empathize a little if it was an event that just required you to be awake at unreasonable hours but if the average joe doesn't have a chance even after all of that then nope, it's not a good event, it's not a good test of endurance. It would just be another event for rich sacks of crap to wag their plantains. Good things shouldn't only come to those with money.
Despite all of your analogies between Maplestory and life, you sure do like to discredit people with money. Do you think paying bills for electricity and internet is having them handed to you? Do you instead peddle a bicycle to power your computer and manually relay your responses across the world?

In all honesty I'm not overly worried about this.

My desire for the profession system is purely over all the things you can do with it and because of the fact that it's not Maker. The only thing I don't really like about it is the mass of equip-tradeblock. Why is that necessary?

Something so good should take months of grinding until one lucky day you stumble upon it and weep tears of blood and then fight amongst yourselves about who gets it until it disappears and none of you get it and you vow to never make the same mistake again so instead create a debate sub-forum here at southperry where we all judge you like in an election and decide who is most worthy and in what order. The last place people will likely drop out and compete with/dc hack the other group with an "if I can't have it, nobody can!" mentality.

That's the way godly items should be dealt with. Anything less is laughable and just shows how little Nexon cares about the state of this game. Good things need to be worked hard for. Harder than 10 days of strategic button clicking and meso/NX spending to reset your fatigue and get all the materials you need.
I normally don't respond to posts from multiple pages past, but I can't help be to shake my head at this.

What you're saying is tantamount to...
"If you want to be wealthy and successful, you should be buying lottery tickets every day until you eventually win. Because using forethought, having a business plan, and wisely utilizing your resources are all laughable endeavors. Everyone knows that anything worth having should only come from one thing: pure, unadulterated dumb pineappleing luck."

I've always found items that are virtually one-of-a-kind to be one of the dumbest things MMOs have ever implemented. Because, in many senses, it does create this truly unobtainable goal.

On the other hand, I love event items. Giving players something to do (that doesn't involve ad nauseum repetition) and having a reward for doing so is the perfect way to keep your players playing. That's why I think the Visitor Event was the absolute best event Maplestory has ever thrown. Sure, you had to endlessly repeat steps if you wanted permanent equipment, but, overall, it kept things fresh.

Granted, I still think that everyone expecting us to get a copy-pasta'd event were a bit daffy.
If anything, I'd expect Nexon America to give us more time to max out our professions.
It'd be like an Evolving Ring event where you actually had to do something other than be AFK.

Oh well, guess I'll just use a different ring for a while. No worries! Do we have any evidence (kms/t or gms) that the Dark Angelic Blessing/Ring recipe drops from Zakum?

Don't be silly, it'll be a golden box item within a month, with a 1/10,000 chance to obtain but listed as one of the only three premium items like someone has a chance.

It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

On that note, has anyone seen or heard of one of those +2 CHTPs from gach yet?

There was one gached in Kradia. As he gached it, it sent some message out to the entire server about it being the lucky item of the month, or something of that sort. One of my guild mates bought it from the guy for 1.2/1.3b and currently has it.

As answered above, sadly you cannot. The price is worth it though because +40 stats is practically impossible to get in Kradia, mainly because we never had CHT (it was Ch14...) during the +40/70 era (and only just got CHT this past patch).

Yay! No pot, makes me feel better. I'm still a touch optimistic for the DAB ring, LF> ninja edit in data.

Well, maybe they made a mistake on the dates of the quest. O.o After all, on the update notes (at the bottom) it said that the dates on the event quest for the Master Alchemists were incorrect.

Who knows? xD Maybe Nexon made a mistake with the other quest.

Wrong dates in the quest log...not sure it's the same but ok. I'm still a little hopeful.
