To set things straight, I'm not laughing at the people who prepared for this and were just shot down by Nexon.
My only point is that there are hundreds of other possibilities to this update, not just the ring.
Maybe now people will be more aware of the fact that just because an event happens in one version doesn't mean that we'll get it as well.

This is an MMO, everything is subject to change, especially between different versions, and also when it comes to events.

How does "why I play" affect my opinion? I play because I enjoy the game, that's all there is to it.
I was using it in the derogatory sense. I normally don't need to explain that I was insulting you when it was, in this case, a very obvious insult, due to the typical hypersensitive nature of many people on the internet.

I know you were.
If you have to resort to derogatory comments in order to argue effectively, you should reevaluate your strategy.

Wasn't much better than claiming apathy to get those responses.

How so? No where did I insult you or others, or even try to.
You're angry, I get it. Getting angry, however, won't help you here.

Is the DAB really that good? :O I looked the stats up, but it looks like it's just a tiny bit better than the VIP ring, which sounds a little easier to get than the DAB recipe (once VPQ comes back, of course).

Kicking someone while they're down won't help you either. Which is exactly what you're doing.
"Oh they're upset, who cares though. It's their fault for hyping it up"
You're putting blame and lack of care towards the person and their feelings. Apathy won't help, thus it's somewhat like flamebaiting. Unnecessary in this situation along with the replies regarding it too. Doesn't mean you're perfect in this situation either.

It gives 10 attack dude. VIP Ring sucks.

When you wear it, it gives you a 10atk/matk buff that stacks with other attack buffs. Also, the effect is pretty cool. So essentially, though it's not listed that way, it's an All Stats +6, +10 ATK/MATK ring.

Allow me to re-direct you here:

My "apathy" is mere reasoning: This update has much more to offer than a ten attack ring.
You're anger is unnecessary, as it could have been avoided; it's like making plans for something and then those plans falling through. It happens, but it isn't the end of the world.

Who is saying it's the end of the world? Expressing significant disappointment because Nexon sucks is expressing significant disappointment. Me, and many others are quite upset that the most valuable ring (and one of the most valuable ITEMS) in the game is now going to be immensely and tremendously harder to get, and more expensive to get. In addition to that, some people spent large sums of in game currency in preparation of this event. While it's true that there was never a direct NexonAM announcement that they would hold this event, it doesn't take a large cognitive leap to assume that since NexonAM copies basically everything from NexonKR, we would get this event.

Your attitude speaks for you.
Whose to say they won't release the recipes in a future event? It's possible, although in your opinion quite unlikely.
Only time will tell, and if the recipes (or two, as Locked informed me) isn't aren't granted to us, then we'll just have to work for it them.

Not that it really matters now but:
I didn't check this character for ores. I leveled this character through the exchange quest by using the Bain Collars I got from training my DB in Armory, which as I now recall, gives out Topaz ores, I wonder if it still does.
Again, lol.

Reading attitude into posts on a forum? Gotta be careful with that. General statement.
New event that releases them? Don't see one in kms. Based on today, it's possible, i'd give it about the same rate of probability as getting a DAB recipe from zak. Especially knowing how Nexon loves to come up with new events that are actually useful and all.
Working for a recipe. With a droprate as low as this one is purported to be, it's more an issue of some lucky noob finding it than someone hunting. I'll wait to see it in the fm for some outrageous price and try and get it then, as that's the only real likely possibility of obtaining. I don't have weeks to dedicated to hunting 20 hours a day for it.

Wow you DO realize that Chaos for GMS is not a copy past of Korea's Chaos. I mean we ALREADY have personality stats and we thought that that would be a part of the age of artisans.

Pretty sure they did it because they were lazy.
They added all the content ASAP and only used server checks to access other parts while kMS actually had to patch.

Uhm....just because GMS is spliting up what parts of the whole pie they give us first doesn't make the actual content different.
