Khaini's Empress Attempt

Good luck on future runs.

When in doubt, throw more money at the problem!

We did, check the third vid.

Aran was for Combo Barrier. I was thinking defensively before I was thinking offensively.

As for your party setup suggestion.

aran, evan, bam, drk, pally, se.

Not sure what the aran is there for. Evan is good, we wanted to bring one but they were unable to make it. Evan would be good in any party though, probably better in ranged party because they can atk from a distance, and use that mp heal cloud thing. When I was attacking, I potted almost exclusively for mp, because I had an awesome bishop.

Just so you know, Recovery Aura is garbage in a party that isn't fully composed of mages.

Just so you know, having gone on the empress run and used my pots almost exclusively on mp because I had an awesome bishop, i'd have preferred to have the option of saving my pot cd (which lasts 30 sec) for if I got hit by something and the bish missed the heal or w/e. Shyt happens, that's the nature of boss runs. I'll take an evan with recovery aura so that the entire ranged party can have their pots saved specifically for things like healing if necessary or atk pots or anything else, rather than basically wasting the pot cd on healing mp.

It would be nice if it worked like Heal, but it doesn't. The effects of Recovery Aura (25% max MP per 6 second recovery cycle, 7 cycles total for the 45 second duration) is based on the character with the lowest max MP within the cloud. This is the amount of MP that everyone's recovery is based off of. That person with the lowest max MP will heal this amount each recovery cycle, however, each additional person in the cloud will receive a reduced amount (think Iron Arrow, except with MP healing). If you've ever been in a party with an Evan using Recovery Aura, then you'd notice that you never recover the amount the skill says unless you're the only one in the cloud. That's why I said it's garbage if the party's not full of mages. More accurately speaking, it's garbage if it's used as a party skill.

Sure, you can get around the reduction effects by having one person at a time in the cloud which is placed away from the party, but now you're sacrificing your DPS for travel and waiting for your MP to recover. Not to mention this doesn't solve the problem if multiple people run out of MP around the same time, which is likely.

It wasn't DR. I got hit too and I don't attack.

I meant for the whole time, doesn't seem to make a difference to start out in the other corner.

While I wasn't aware of that, I don't see how it makes that big of a difference. The reason being that it's a ranged party, meaning that for everyone besides the bish and possibly bam, aka the non big damage dealers, we all have low mp. For chaos, the skill has been changed to be 100% as well. Not sure how that translates to the game, but the point remains that any mp is good mp, especially in significant chunks, which it is when you only have like 7k mp. And I assure you, that when you have a 30 second pot cd, being able to have an mp recovery buff isn't garbage, by any means.

We'll be looking into that our next run. We've been evaluating videos from kms and tossing ideas back and forth in the guild and on here about how to go about this next attempt, but doing the attacking >>>>> direction is definitely what we'll be including.

Lol, I use ales and powers but I still feel quite frustrated about using my pots and thus starting the 30 sec vulnerable period....on an mp potion.
